kpop fans are really in their own world where they think an album essentially treated as a merch drop with zero cultural impact is something to be in awe of. there was even that poll on Reddit recently where people suggested they shouldn’t even bother putting the CDs in the package anymore…telling!

It’s a greatest hits album, it’s not meant to slam you over the head with newness. It’s ridiculous to compare it to a regular album and what people’s excitement level would be. The fact is a lot of newer fans are actually excited about it and so will people just getting into them, a great chance to dive into their catalog. A lot of new fans will come out of this project, and you can guarantee an accompanying world tour will be record-breaking.
Everyone else can chill out a second while the band figures out what they want to and can do next! No one is coming for their throne, no one is even near the palace.

I am old enough to remember Armys being proud of BTS for releasing music like artists should and to remember this was used against other groups in fanwars.
Armys will twist facts the way they fit them and pretend they didn't scream the exact opposite for years. And making things up.. Who talked about boycotting, luv?
Let's all, also, collectively pretend that every Army wasn't expecting and dreaming of the new era and concept and huge sales.
But, now here we are excusing what was used as a drag against other artists and use it as a way to defend money hungry Hybe.
