"Be Natural" is the second digital single from South Korean girl group Red Velvet and features Taeyong of SR14B (later NCT). It was released on October 13, 2014.
II. Background & Overview
Like their first single "Happiness,' this single only features 4 members (Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy), as Yeri did not join the group until 2015. This song also features SM Rookies' Taeyong before he debuted in NCT two years later. He is described here as "Taeyong of SR14B."
This song was a concept and musical shift from the group's first single, which reflects Red Velvet's unique musical approach: a combination of "red" (primarily bright pop) and "velvet" (more r&b and ballads) songs. This song was the group's first "velvet" song.
This song was a remake of a song from girl group S.E.S. It was written by SM's legendary songwriter and producer Yoo Young-jin.

"Be Natural" reached #33 on the Korean Gaon chart and #6 on the U.S. Billboard World Digital Songs chart.
VIII. Trivia
- Joy is the only member of Red Velvet who did not debut in SM Rookies.
- SR14B was a group name used for SM Rookies boys' content, short for SM Rookies Boys. The group included future NCT members Johnny, Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Ten and Jaehyun, as well as Hansol, who left SM Entertainment. Prior to Red Velvet's debut, Irene and Seulgi featured in a dance video under SR14G (SM Rookies Girls) for "Be Natural."
- The two girl groups formed from members of SM Rookies, Red Velvet and aespa, both released covers of S.E.S. songs. Red Velvet released "Be Natural" in 2014, while aespa released "Dreams Come True" in 2021.
- Taeyong's rap verse was removed or not used during Red Velvet's live performances.
