this is one of the best interview i've seen so far.

this is the kim jiwon that we know, mischievous but very kind and hardworking boy.

people who call him, or the other iKON arrogant, really should watch this. they're very respectful boys who just want to show their music to the world.

people are too caught up with their casings, seeing them as tough boys. but this represent what iKON is to us fans.

also when people try to dig stuff about him, the only thing they could find is a kid who missed SoKor, wrote to his auntie a lot and go to church lmao

the simple answer is yes because they have no other choice.

YG is tied to Naver who owns vlive, so if Naver converged with weverse and creating a new platform to combine the two, then YG artists would need to use it too, regardless what their fandoms, or the fandoms of the current users of weverse think.

this is adult game, children. none of your opinion matters.

the thing is none company bought other company here...

it's just BigHit now bought some YG subsidiary division which is responsible for album/merch distribution etc.

Think of it more about buying one shop building instead of buying company which owns this shop.

    investing =/= buy.

they just invested on YGPlus that in the future will do their production and distribution.

But why do you care so much about what fans think about YGE or BH or whatever? Or whoever build or planned it? I'd absolutely get it if it were about your faves since that would be downplaying their achievements and everything they worked for but this is legit just a couple of millionare companies and a conglomerate working together on something and I'm baffeled on why people take these things like it's an attack on their faves ? Or using it in a dick measuring contest. This has no relation to BTS, Blackpink, Ikon, Treasure, TXT, etc. + YGE is far from independant and I very much doubt they'll ever get, that's just not realistic in anyway especially with globalization. They are extremely reliant on investors and connections. A business like that is more than just production, distribution and promotion. Btw don't take this as an attack I'm just genuinely baffeled.

why do you care so much when people just want to set the record straight?

by no means i see this as an attack to any groups under YGE.

they’re a yg boy group stan they stan Or defend every group except blackpinkol

sis you don't know me. don't assume.

you'd think i'd waste my time defending YGE when they done my UB dirty? again, i'm just setting the record straight.

Honestly, I wouldn't particularly care even if it's flipped. The only reason I pay attention to this is because of my business major, this article is pretty much just announcing BH as being one of the three major investors next to Naver and YGE to invest in this project which is completely normal for a business to announce because of transparency. I don't see how this is in anyway implying BH is spearheading it. Is it because they are mentioned among Naver and YGE? Because that's not wrong. I'm sorry but it just looks petty and it annoys me because these types of things get used in fanwars and will just cause a huge amount misinformation being spread among fans.

it may look petty to you but wait till fans claim that this is somehow a BH initiative. i can already see it.

YGE has a big dream of being independent, that's why they build their business in ways that it can cater everything themselves, from inhouse producers to production to distribution to promotion. i can understand that they need investors now to make it a reality but you can't deny there was a lot of effort to plan all this and suddenly it's framed as if this is a new project created from scratch by BH+Naver+YGE does feel rather annoying.

Do people not realize that BH investing into that project might have been one of the agreements in the contract? People are assuming so much again about a contract we don't know anything about and has only been announced for a couple of days when for all we know that might be one of the requests from YGE themselves in exchange of BH profiting of YGE artists on Weverse which imo is most likely the case since investors are always needed from grand scale projects like this (especially if it's supposed to rival CJ&EM). Why are people on here so damn weird about all of this, this is like business 101 with both sides benefiting in someway even if it's not obvious to the public eye. Stop turning into something you can use for fan wars and wait until there is more information available jfc. This is so frustrating to look at as someone following a master in business.

like i said, there is nothing wrong with having a business deal, but treating this as a new project that BH spearheaded (as seen in the article) is misleading when it's an old YG project already in the making. many people that don't know about this fact would think that way.

that's what make people a little uncomfortable. you might feel the same if we flip the situation.

i think the point of discontent is how the media portraying this.

they made it looks like it's a new project and put BH at the front as if they're spearheading this, while it's widely known that this has been on YGE's pipeline for awhile now. it's different if the point of view of the article is BH made another investment in YGE+Naver's project, following the investment they made in YGPlus.

a lot of research and groundwork have been put into this and it does feel like BH is taking advantage of that to be seen as a company with the vision, when in reality they're only putting in capital in a project that is already on the way. it does feel misleading.

am i the only one who doesn't give a rat's ass about this? they don't share the same fanbase, who cares.

    yall with your fake concern...

but you blinks also need to keep bobby out of your mouths. how many songs he has in his album is none of your concern, he worked on it himself, the very short the credit list says it all. he didn't take your resources away so keep out of his business.

yall have a concert coming up, rose and lisa's solo, that should keep you occupied.
