It’s a known fact that boy group stans are more willing to shell out money to buy dozens and dozens of albums, stream 24/7, and just overall act more obsessive over their faves so they will get noticed.
That is why when BLACKPINK breaks records, you know it a organic and from the gp. That’s why even if they don’t break BTS records, the fact that they’re able to come close is more impressive than the record themselves.

The downfall of that boy group this year was so sudden I truly did not see that coming. BLACKPINK’s only rival back in 2018-2019 have declined to the point of irrelevancy in South Korea. Now they are truly unmatched and unrivaled. Even the gp agrees.
Pink Venom not only became the biggest comeback of the year but the biggest girl group comeback of all time. And their album is looking to sell 3-4 million copies.
I’m so proud of my girls for not flopping, and always staying consistent and successful.

i don't live in korea, but where i am the most well known gg aside from bp is twice for sure
definitely do not have stats to fight you with but just speaking from general experience
sure the new ggs have a lot of buzz and will eventually take over but i think for now twice is still more well known overall ??

8. Pink Venom - #2? (will be updated next week but they might be #1 if they have enough downloads. Could even rise to #1 after promotions)
They have never ever had a comeback not enter the top 3. Truly the most consistent girl group digitally of all time. 6 years into their career and still haven’t peaked.

On what basis? Their short lived fame that only lasted 2 years? We can consider twice a fad at this point

They have the digital performance of a 4th Gen boy group and the only thing they have going for them is physicals. If ATEEZ is able to sell 1m albums and isn’t considered a top boy group then the same thing should apply for twice. We need to stop taking into account their 2016-2018 charting because that was 4 years ago. The gp has clearly moved on and that is okay.
