Notice how the discussion died as soon as objective analysis of the numbers started and the agenda-driven narratives ceased.
There is literally not an iota of love lost between me and Disevidence, so if we're both on the same side, that should speak volumes.
People here, and a lot of these anonymous voters, are upset over how I deliver my message, but the accuracy of the messaging is 100% on point. Nothing has changed.
NewJeans are still in their own tier of statistical dominance the likes of which we've never seen from a girl group that hasn't even turned 2 years old yet.

Maybe it died because people are tired to deal with delusional tokkis unlike tokkis other people have better things to do :3
Wow. I respect THAT grind. 4.5 hours would get you at least 25k steps or so, but with the additional exertion from presumably a lot of inclines, declines and different terrains, that is no joke.
I usually cycle through my playlists, watching NJ phoning videos, or if it's at night, play some MrBallen videos for a fun creepy vibe, but if I'm bored enough, I'll also post here.
But I'd probably just enjoy nature if I were on an actual hike and not on a treadmill or walking around my neighborhood, which understandably get old after a while.
On a serious note, people should stop trolling and be for real. I made a thread specifically to shine a spotlight on how impressive GIDLE have been this year, but let's not be prisoners of the moment.
The gap between them and NewJeans internationally is massive. NewJeans is in a race with BP to be the first group to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify this year. GIDLE isn't even in the competition.
As an aside, I like how Spotify is all that matters (based on the last two NJ hate threads) until it doesn't.
But even just looking at Korea, why are we pretending like this forum wasn't calling GIDLE flops after Superlady and Wife dropped? I had to actively defend them from the flop label being applied to two songs that were still at least top 20. And Fate, while impressive, had to rise from the grave to do get #1.
NewJeans has the highest MelOn debut of any girl group this year, with a FRIDAY release mind you, is the fastest to every cumulative UL benchmark this year of any girl group, and is the only artist period with two songs over 300k ULs, and those two songs are #2 and #3 on every chart. If not for Supernova going super viral, we all know they'd be #1 and #2 as usual. And to cap this, they're performing at the Tokyo Dome this month after selling out 110,000 seats with the presale alone; it never even hit general sale.
They are clearly still the #1 group by far. Look at how many of their songs are STILL top 50.

No group is anywhere near this strong on the charts. No artist even.
It takes more than one comeback to chase down a group that had a nearly 1.5 billion point gap between their Circle Digital Index score and the next closest group (IVE).
#1 won't be changing any time soon.
Now 2-5 is where things get interesting. I'll make a thread.
Only thing we know for sure is that NewJeans aren't the number one girl group anymore just when i started stanning them! i think it was my bad luck that made all of this possible
Cultural impact will probably go to Gee forever, but overall dominance goes to Hype Boy by a pretty huge margin, and its cultural impact was pretty huge too. Korea loves that song; that's why it's still a top 20 song 2 years later.
What is the biggest girl group song of all time in Korea?
I recently got into some exchanges on a subreddit about the historical significance and scale of what Hype Boy has done since its release, in terms of numbers and cultural impact, and then I realized something:
I've never asked AKP what they think about the biggest girl group song of all time debate
So let's poll it up. I WAS going to frame this discussion with the premise Hype Boy is already in that conversation, and I might link some numbers later for each of these songs (anyone else is welcome…
