Not everything is meant as a shade the gap has closed in that's not a lie, just an example without actual numbers, NewJeans could be 180% bigger than the rest 4th gen ggs, then now maybe they are 120% bigger than the rest of ggs there can be still an impressive gap but the gap is still closing in
Anyways i don't really care about disscusing this further, My point is that NewJeans it's still an unknown because of everything happening we don't know if they will continue to dominated or bit but if they do they could end up dominating as long or longer than SNSD but we don't know

It's SNSD, people can't really Say things like how blackpink is so Big internationally SO they win because if they debuted in 2nd generation they wouldn't be as Big as they are internationally now, let's not forget other groups would change their comeback plans just to avoid SNSD if they announced their comeback close to other groups, in every show they were other groups kept using the phrase "it's sushi" when disscusing popularity i just hate when fans can't understand that metrics change like when TWICE started earning many trophies from shows but also there were like 2x or 3x as many opportunities to get trophies since there were more shows granting them, you are deluional if you think SNSD weren't the most dominant girl group ar their peak and for longer too, Twice and BP got like 3 years dominating each at best, unless we count BlackPink as still being the biggest now then they are still on the run, NewJeans has had a 1.5 2 years run so far depending when do you start counting they dominante with the gap closing in after the MHJ vs HYBE, this last comeback WITHOUT taking into consideration their previous releases we're surpassed by aespa and we don't even know their future after MHJ vs HYBE concludes

The entire premise of this thread is disproved by the historic longevity of NewJeans' discography.

This is actually a textbook logical fallacy.
You can't take the stance that all of NewJeans' accomplishments are "fake" because of Payola AND mock them for not having results without Hybe's support WHILE they're still getting more streams in their biggest music markets than any other girl group.
Their entire discography since their debut 2 years ago has at least two songs in the MelOn top 50 today. Their entire discography, BEFORE their most recent albums and AFTER the Hybe fans and token fans dropped them, was still getting more streams on Spotify than any other girl group, including BLACKPINK.
Those facts have literally solidified the fact that their popularity is real. If it wasn't, their overall numbers would've plummeted. Instead, How Sweet had an even higher debut on MelOn than Super Shy, and those "fake success" songs are still getting massive amounts of daily streams in Spotify. How else would they be the most streamed girl group on Spotify, if their most recent songs have "flopped", according to the doomposters? This proves the immense interest in their music is real.

There was some industry tactics like playlisting and brand deals right out of the gate. But it's the same thing we're seeing with ILLIT, and I would argue ILLIT's debut is like Attention but on steroids.
I will say that their songs from 2022-23 are still getting hundreds of thousands of streams daily, which proves that they did have some genuine hits. But we'll have to see if they can bounce back and if not grow, at least stabilize with their next comeback. Full albums usually come with a huge amount of hype so I wouldn't doubt that they can win some favor back especially if their future concept is more interesting than How Sweet.
People seems to fail to understand if you fake numbers to get the public's attention a lot of people will gravitate to the song and it will naturally sustain itself after that, they were also all very good songs no one is saying NJ is small but they did get a lot of fake attention when they debuted

NewJeans is in a situation never seen before where many of their casual listeners have been turned away from them because it's perceived as harmful to their faves. They've lost a lot of support and still came out extremely well. That legitimizes everything they achieved before because even such a monumentally clusterfuck couldn't bring them down outright.
