wasn't BBC short on money? They had some funding issues in the past if I remember correctly.
I think they are owned by some massively rich defence company

When they arrived on the scene they looked like something which needed a lot of work but just a group having fun and getting out there. But people started to hate on them too much probably because I remember it was about them labeling themselves K-Pop. Some said it would have been better if they said they were 'inspired by K-pop' instead of actually being K-Pop.
They didn't commit some heinous crime just released (an admittedly amateurish effort) , and got hammered. Their follow up was actually pretty good and a marked improvement. So did they get what they deserved or not?

I really liked their older titles, I Need U, Fire, Not Today but understood groups change and want to try newer stuff. In terms of their new poppier direction this is so good - perfectly timed for summer and hopefully Co Vid starting to die down a bit

I wasn't that much into PIXY's debut but thought their follow up Let Me Know was pretty good. The name PIXY is pretty sick

I think Blockberry Creative's big mistake was spending something like $10 million on a ridiculously extended predebut period. That money could have been invested in amazing MVs/ styling/ comebacks. While Loona are successful maybe the company expected a lot more and have dialled back expenditure?

I like the retro synths on this track pretty cool

Sounds interesting is this however like 'We Are Blazing' where multiple groups both girl and boy groups compete?

most of these nugu companies are borderline scams tho and on the verge of bankruptcy. they sign all these trainees into terrible contracts, treat them like shit, promise them things that they cannot deliver, make them live and practice in terrible conditions. any money made is going towards debt with barely pennies going into the pockets of the idols. i agree that kpop needs a huge overhaul to get rid of those types of companies. people with no industry connections should not expect their groups to blow up in this day and age.
This has always been the harshest reality of K-Pop, even if you approach it will good intentions, work hard, invest in the group and release good music chances are you will get nowhere if you are not from a well know company. I genuinely wonder how groups who sell a few thousand albums (or even fewer) survive beyond one or two comebacks what are other income streams??

This is such a cute thread
Thank you for your positivity
And make sure to check BBMAs I have a feeling it’ll be death by sexy
Your signature is a perfect example, that musical breakdown with the members dancing individually in the small room (or is it a lift?) and the colour... then it goes into the rap section! So many cool moments musically and visually
