I actually prefer the cleaner culture of K pop to Western pop culture which has turned into complete hive-mind, politicized trash. There's nothing wrong with having class and self respect and nothing wrong with an employer/label asking that you represent their brand publicly with dignity and certain standards. What idols do in their personal life is likely very different than what is portrayed while in the public eye which is totally reasonable. I doubt idols are as innocent as they appear but honestly haven't thought much about it.
For example, I don't need to know about Cardi B's WAP🤢 (I skip track four of Blackpink "The Album" every time, I was hugely disappointed when that was announced). I don't need artists telling me that I'm evil and bigoted if I don't agree with their political views.
K Pop is a beautiful thing and a great escape from the woke, status quo that is infiltrating and ruining everything in Western culture.

Hyunjin was accused of abusing girls at middle school, but he went to an all boys school, so it didnt make sense in the first place. The "proves" were fake screenshots of two people talking about knowing him posted on Nate.
He even cried in a fanmeeting because of the hate he got. He was just a teenager back in early 2018
I'm very, very unhappy about Hyunjin being made to sit out over some ridiculous, adolescent contention from his youth. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, meanwhile you have big companies like CLIO cutting him from endorsement and JYP sitting him during an important moment in his life and career. If JYP doesn't plan on letting him get back to it, I hope he finds a better path because the he's being treated like shit and he deserves better. This permanent exile and demonization over bullying allegations in Korea needs to stop. I have a huge amount of love and admiration for Hyunjin.

I agree about Black Mamba and Forever. I was initially hardcore Winter stan but all of the members have really grown on me (Winter is still my fav). The new cinematic is absolutely amazing. All four girls are super talented and beautiful. Wishing them the best and I have very high hopes.

Interesting topic. I'm male and personally adore Red Velvet without boundary (especially Irene) and they will always be my very favorite.
I do really enjoy what ITZY is doing at the moment. IZ One was definitely the cutest gg.
I've always been curious as to what makes up majority of the male kpop fan base. There's some excellent guy groups, Stray Kids is a fav. But I gravitate towards the girl groups myself and for my wife it's the opposite.

I don't know if/when it'll have a Western release yet (Netflix). But I am keeping an eye out for Double Patty on both KissAsian and Viki.
Just watched it last night in the US using Viki. Was worried I'd never get to see it. Really cute movie. Irene was wonderful of course. Her demeanor is so adorable.

I think it's a beautiful and well done EP. My wife bought me the case edition and photo book edition. The entire package is breathtaking and just adorable. Her voice is gold. Definitely not a chart topping type of release though. Glad she's okay. 20210508_230236~2.jpg
