For this, I am using bigger hits because those songs sounds are what most likely solidified the cute concept sound for that generation. Also, these are what I consider to be cute concepts. If you disagree that's fine.

Kpop, from what I've gathered, is pretty popular in Japan. But will the rise of Niziu, an all-Japanese group with a kpop sound cause it to explode in popularity?

Niziu is everywhere over there. That means even non-kpop Japanese fans probably have heard at least one of their songs and if enough people are interested in the sound, could it cause an even bigger Hallyu wave?

Warning, I am not Japanese, I am just speculating as a fan of Niziu. This could be a total reach. If a Japanese fan would like to add something, please feel free.

Also, the race thing. These companies will have to remember that people of color exist if they want at least some chance of gaining the favor of the general public.

SM will have to do quite the bit of damage control if they want this to work

It would require kpop companies to realize that other races besides white and asian and other body types besides skinny exist so I doubt it will work.
