Oh, I see. PlayM described weeekly's concept as High Teen so that's why I used it. STAYC also said something similar.

High Teen and Teen Crush are both concepts that have been rising in popularity for the past year or so. They are both pretty similar concepts geared toward the teen demographic, but they do have some key differences.

Teen Crush:

Teen Crush focuses more on the badass side of the teen concept, taking a lot of inspiration from Girl Crush while still having the concept resonate with teenagers. The lyrics are often about self-love and confidence. And while they mostly show the idols performing being badass, there are moments of fun put in to up the "teen" in Teen Crush.

Examples:

High Teen:

While Teen Crush falls more on the Girl Crush side of the spectrum, High Teen falls on the opposite, Cute. Taking inspiration from the cute concept, High Teen is cuter and more bubbly than Teen Crush. The lyrics often talk about love and friendship. And while High Teen may be cuter than Teen Crush, when put beside cuter songs, the bits of maturity in the concept makes it feel slightly out of place.

I'm more so speaking of the success hierarchy in kpop. Like Mamamoo and Gfriend aren't as big as say, TWICE or Blackpink, but they aren't exactly mid tier like Fromis_9 or WJSN. They fall somewhere in the middle. I'm wondering who will take up this "middle" spot in the 4th gen.

Those groups that aren't exactly high tier but not mid tier and certainly not low tier. They kinda fall in between high tier and mid tier. Who do you think will have/has this position in 4th gen.
