I don't know people who like knock2 too
The knock knock chorus was magic.

Display MoreI've always been a defender of their prior image and sound.
Early to mid career TWICE encompassed a warm/uplifting image and relatable ethos that offered something special.
A comfort in their entire being that connected with the Korean public and fans in a way that was very unique.
They have abandoned that uplifting/warm ethos for the most part.
There's a "coldness" to much of TWICE's overall turn of sound and image now that appeals to many but is in direct contrast to their key ethos they built their brand on.
Which is a choice and preference obviously. Many don't necessarily like that sort of bent and have championed their new turn. Found it refreshing.
But I miss that overtly warm nature they used to have.
When I think of TWICE.
That early ethos is the one that remains special to me.
When I play TWICE songs, like you. They are almost entirely from their earlier catalog.
TWICE songs, I don't know how to say, were unique. No one released anything like them. Their releases now are no different from any other k-pop group releases. It must be one of the reasons why I adore 'Do what we like'.
Feel special and fancy are my fav songs from twice along with likey
These are my least fav songs of them
Our taste are very, stressing the very, different.
what's your favourite out of those...
pick one
TT
Personally it didn't need a rap at all. It was fine w/o
I saw a remix where the rap bit was in the end and it was really good.
you leave fancy out of this
honestly fancy isn't that different from pre concept change. how is fancy different from yoy?
I don't like Fancy, sorry. Yes or Yes isn't my fave either.
I still think the rap should have been the outro.
it all depends on personal taste. i like their older songs too but a huge chunk of their fandom prefers the sound they’re going for now
But their title tracks in 2020 are not very original, are they?
My favourite is still WIL/Knockx2/Heartshaker, but AKPoppers will say otherwise
Knock knock, TT, Cheer up and Like ooh aah are my favs.
I became a fan of Twice very recently, I guess after Fanfare. Their recent title tracks like Fancy, Feel special, More and more and I can't stop me are appealing to a more western audience. But when I want to listen to a Twice title track, I almost always go back to their earlier ones. They are fresh, energetic and very Twice. While change is inevitable and their present albums are a lot better, I wish that Taste of love will feature earlier Twice title track energy. What's your opinion?
Love shot didn't do EXO any justice. It is one of their weakest title track imo. Contrary to that, I always get an adrenaline rush when I listen to Tempo. I don't think any k-pop group could pull off Tempo. It is just THE SONG.

They are just not my type of songs. But I can see why people like them.
I think western music started to become better since 2019. We got all these amazing albums like Thank u next,When we all fall asleep where do we go, Lover and of course Norman f***ing Rockwell. 2020 was absolutely golden for pop music as it started to get away from its hip-hop influences. I think western music is gradually getting better.
It's so fun and upbeat. One of the best recent boy group release, in my opinion.
