You know BP are from a one of the bigger companies YG and had "A LOT" of hype before they even debuted, they was launched with a hype catapult in to the air. Just as Twice and groups like Aespa.
Also keep a mind that when the 2nd generations groups debut the use of smartphones, internet, youtube, streaming, social media was much smaller then it was today, especially if you look at the kpop main market, SE Asia. So it very hard, never to impossible, do a fair comparsion between groups that debuted in they early 2010ies or earllier with groups debuting later if you only compare numbres like popularity and sales numbers. It's so much easier today to spread kpop around the world and build a "hype" when a group debuts.Ur point?
