I'm holding on to my MOTS tickets like a damn lifeline. I was extremely lucky to snag the tickets I got. Rain or shine I'm GOING to these concerts.

Charting simply means people are listening to the music. Objectively, that's all it really means.
Now, is the music good or not? That's subjective. Opinions abound and you're left to form your own thoughts.
Generally, charting is good since it offers exposure and is a decent indicator of interest. So I see it as more of a good thing than bad.

Los Angeles.
I would say no. Beyond BTS I do not listen to other Korean music, much less anything in kpop. I was super into J-Rock before though, but it's been years.
Before BTS I never really paid any attention to pop music anyway. I've always been more into metal and hard rock, oldies and orchestral scores. It does help that BTS doesn't just do pop either.

Where's the J-Rock option.

Maybe to you.
But if you bothered to actually look through their albums and other works you would find VERSATILITY.
And they're only getting better.

BTS have that IT factor, something you either have or don't. You can't manufacture it, you can't fake it.
They have immense talents across the board: vocals, dancing, writing, producing, composing, charisma, humor, relatability. They even have a bit of luck, but they also had the foresight and the DRIVE to grab hold of those chances and run with it. Their work ethic is insanely impressive.
They have it all. It's very rare. The universe, and ARMY, saw fit to reward them for it.

BTS, as a group and individually, have named a select few who have inspired their musicality: Seo Taiji, Epik High, etc. Hell, go read the lyrics to Hip Hop phile if you want more.
So you guys just want ARMY to say "Thanks _____ gen!"? I mean, sure, if all you want is meaningless lip service. I'll be happy to parrott it all day long.
That doesn't change anything though. I'm not going to go support those other artists, stream-wise or financially. I'm not gonna follow them on any social media, I won't keep up with any of them. Do they have solo work? I don't care, I'm not gonna support it. I'll respect them of course, in that they are humans and deserve that basic courtesy, but I don't care about their legacies.
So they'll not get anything meaningful from me, but that's enough for you right? As long as I repeat some random ass thought on a random ass forum. Cool.

Only BTS for me.
When I first discovered them, sure, I made an effort to listen to other groups. That was a quick death.

I got their first Billboard covers you can bet your ass I bought this too. Milestones, man, milestones.

Whoops, misread the question!

I do.
The OG, the instrumental, the Retro Remix, and the Tropical Remix especially.
A great song to vibe/dance to, just makes me happy.

BTS were the victims of that man's racist tirade, they should not have the burden of responding to it.
BTS have already been very vocal about racism and prejudice; they spoke about BLM and they have spoken about the prejudice they personally experience(d) in the West for their various schedules. A great number of their music touches upon such subjects.
If they want to personally address that man, they are free to do so, but to "expect" them to do so is incredibly selfish and moronic.
Any POC knows how demeaning it is to constantly have to explain when they're being racially targeted "Well, why don't they speak up? Why won't they say anything?" That's fucking exhausting.
