As a VIP and Korean chart watcher, I have to admit that I was surprised. I know all about BB's previous charting history in Korea. However, even I had some doubts in my mind. After everything that had happened since 2017 I was still eager to know if they could still pull those huge numbers.
I said in the digital thread that BB's song would perform similarly to another recent hit song called Counting Stars by BE'0, which had 500k uls in 24 hours, as well as a few roof hits. Still Life far surpassed Counting Star's initial impact which was a very pleasant surprise.
Also, Still Life performed far better on Spotify than I thought it would which is another amazing surprise.
I am just happy they are charting so well!

The trend for now for most groups and songs is starting low, then gaining uls.
I am a vip and Bigbang always follow the second option so I will go with that. I always prefer instant success as it makes it so that there is something to talk about. This is especially true for this comeback, I love all the talk about Bigbang's success and it has only been a day. Also, you can never be too sure about gaining uls (like what happened with AKMU in 2020).
