Well, I definetly can't stand the "4 vocalists, 4 dancers, 4 visuals, 4 rappers type of comment". It is the most frustrating type of praise, bleh.
I think the outrage is good, they are saying something and demanding the companies. Does it works? Most of the time no. But now saying the same about the groups you like is the product of one single brain cell.

I just read and commented the article on the main page. I'm so shocked and so sad. I knew him through WGM and followed his work since. He's such a beauty and talent, it's so sad to see him go. And 2 page letter... I mean, he must've had been planning to take his own life for so long, strugling with his emotions, feeling so alone and unworthy of everything he's got. Omg, you guys. I'm really sad.
My prayers goes to his beloved ones and his soul. May his soul heal from everything that led to his early death.

I got into kpop in 2011. This account is from 2016, but my original one was from 2011. The forums had a big make over years ago and everything got erased. You are right, I don't really search for groups, I actually let them get to me. So yeah, always the popular ones.
Besides Ateez and Cravity, I haven't ever heard about the other groups.
The list is awsome, the extreme nugu groups get registered somewhere easy to find.

I just found a site providing the groups that debuted between 2020-2024 for the user that logged in today after 4 years. Anyway, out of that HUGE list, we're aware of 10 grups, maybe less.

You missed the debuts of aespa, NewJeans, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, XG, KATSEYE and 2NE1's comeback. I'm sorry you missed out on so much, but breaks are necessary.
There also are some quite good dramas:
Hyuna&Dawn's debut, break up and Hyuna's marriage to JongHyun, who watched the videos produced by no other than the Burning Sun producers.
NewJeans didn't put their heads down to HYBE. They're putting up a fight that is so beatutiful to see happening.

You know what, you got me on this one. I went through a trip down memory lane and there was not a single group formed with more than 5 members that pulled off a girls crush concept and actually got good numbers out of it.
There you go. It’s just too many members, girl crush is about uniqueness. 7 uniquenesses are, maybe, too much to match together. Omg, I see it
I hope BM changes this “curse”.
If the group was formed, let’s say, only by Asa, Rami, Ruka (pushing hard) and Ahyeon, then the concept would’ve made sense, Korea would get the YGE vibe they’re hungry for and make big numbers possible. Rora, Pharita and Chiquita are such delicate princesses ❤️

We can agree to disagree. BM failed to sell that concept to me, I cringe every time Chiquita says living large. Most of the girls do not match the concept, it feels, looks anda sounds wrong to me. Regardless of my opinion, someone has to like it, right. Good other people do, cause if it would depend on me, Clik Clak would have never seen the sun light, not even for 2NE1 - maybe just for Minzy and CL duo.

I am glad you like them! “Hongdae R&B” is so great, but also so underrated. I like the atmosphere and imagery she captures with her lyrics and storytelling. The video is just as great.
Bibi is a great story teller, it's very easy to get in literal touch wirh her music. And the lyrics are also very aloquent, very authentic. That's what I love about her
