her beauty really doesn’t help the controversy lol she has a very cold and aloof vibe which is usually good for visuals but in this case…

it’s 2022 and y’all still want female idols running around in pants so high waisted abdomens start forming into chins and safety shorts so thick and unflattering they look like granny panties

never thought about it until now but kep1er really is the first produce gg where none of the members have any impact with the public or carry any brand power
tbh like others are saying none of them stand out so if girls from ioi and izone can’t even make it after their group activities…
on a positive note, there is still time to promote and gather opportunities. unless ofc mnet keeps wasting them on shit like queendom instead of comebacks

I just cannot find a universe where any kpop company despite all being thirsty and exploitative would want to debut a female idol that appears to be their visual candidate using an innocent and quirky video intro with a reputation centered around lewd sex remarks, smoking cigarettes and smashing girls into bricks. This kind of attention does not contribute to any kind of marketing appeal at all other than extremely negative tabloid gossip. How is she expected to be the face of any type of campaigns? What career prospects still exist for her outside of the short lifespan of a girl group? There is no money to be made with this publicity.
I'm positive companies take into account the entire future of the brand they are about to invest in. This short-term burnout would contribute nothing to this group in the long run except attention that was already being better received by Sakura and Chaewon so what logical sense does it make as a publicity stunt?

IVE is definitely an anamoly but were also the most set up for success based on the popularity of the members that made their final group. The only ones that were arguably in as sweet of a spot were Sejeong/Mina but Gugudan were given too many members with very little chemistry, inconsistent concepts and nonexistent promotion
IVE is the complete opposite - they have a small, focused group synergized around Wonyoung/Yujin with a strong concept and dedicated management
I'm sure cravity falls somewhere in the middle of these very different spectrums of investment

I just read he apologized so I find it counterproductive to judge him so harshly but I do still think he gives off clownish energy
