It’s not just BF/GF stuff.
When you’re in a para social relationship you will spend hours on end discussing and fighting for your favs and their up’s and downs become your whole personality like your life depends on it lol.
A lot of Kpop fans on forums are definitely in para social relationships with their idols. Myself included.
I agree, I think those were my main points too. We like to live in denial about our own behavior and often fail to recognize these sign in ourselves(myself included).

What comes with it is that some fans feel entitled to say what the idols should wear, do or look like. It's almost like they think because they support the idols, they have the right to decide everything or protest if they don't like something.
That's a good point that I don't see normally talked about in this discussion. People usually limit this discussion for mocking purposes till the BF/GF thing but you're right in a sense. Thinking you own the idols.

I'm curious on what people think about it in terms of kpop.
I usually see people mocking other fans for being very deeply involved in their idols lives but it is coming from the same people who sit in akp/twt and defend their faves 24/7 from every little thing. Or even get obsessed with rival Fandoms to the point of attacking everyone associated. Is that not the definition of obsession?
I consider this behavior much more harmful than fans collecting albums or showing their love for their idols publically (in non-harmful, non-violent ways obviously).

I would be fine with a mini album but I don't want half of the songs to be intro, interlude or English version. That annoys me a lot. If it's like Persona mini and we get full 7 songs I'll take that.

Some of them have another job, because as a musician they couldn't survive.
I'm sure they would like if something they love (aka music) could also provide them livelihood and they wouldn't have to do other things just to survive. It would mean more people love their music which would reflect through charts, sales or even concerts.
