I think AIIYL was an incredible song and prob my favorite BP title track. Yeah, it was different but it was such a fun era. The song is great and maybe wasn't the perfect song for Blackpink. It also established the belief that Blackpink is dual concept. I do feel really bad that they had to perform it for a full year tho.
Maybe I could see it different if they followed it with more cute concepts but they seem to stick with their badass tts. Also, I was a blink since before aiiyl and I got sick of it to the point of no return

Just before blowing up and getting her international crown, Lisa was one of the most hated idols/performers. The same could be said about Jennie becoming IT girl, although she was crazy popular to begin with.
Even if we broaden our scope, Hwasa was also a victim of immesurable hate before claiming her it girl status. Do you think the raising interest in Rosé (hater wise) will eventually translate into her individual fandom growing? Or did people just one day wake up and decide to ruin someone's life for fun and nothing will come out of it in the end?

It's so funny to me reading this stuff. I somewhat agree with OP, but also there were times when some girls got the short end of the stick compared to the others. The funny bit here is though that y'all really think you know shat about them, when in reality, maybe Lisa didnt even wanna sing on music shows. Her song is tough to perform live so maybe she herself wanted to focus on online stuff and put faith in tiktok. She already has koreans bashing her day and night, she might have wanted to avoid being criticized for her singing, when we all know she's not 100% confident outside of raps. She still killed it and y'all whining that she didn't get the same colored shirt as Jennie and Rose shows you're just greedy for more and more and more of idk what. You should be making millions of threads that the solo we've been waiting for is here and is banging, but you always find sth to bitch about. It's kids like those two here that make me lose interest in a group. Why kids and teenagers are always the target audience 🙄

They act like they don't have a personality... I understand that the industry wants to sell the " perfect image" but honestly that makes me so bored. This is one of the thing that is making me lose interest in kpop in general.
From this point of view western artists are ten times better even if they aren't perfect, atlest I can have a confront with them.
Finally someone said it! I agree 100%. It's like watching dolls in a playhouse. No personality whatsoever and it's not my faves but every single one of them. Except maybe Jessi, she keeps it somewhat real.
