For raw skills, their dance skill is really solid although I think Lia should improve. Vocals could be improved as well but their singing style fits their songs so I don't mind this aspect that much. Rap, oh well, they definitely should STOP rapping. I enjoyed their previous songs, MITM could be a bop to me because I loved the chorus but there were so much cringy rap that it destroyed the song.
Also others are mentioning they have great stage presence, I would disagree. Dancing is not equal to stage presence.

Rv isn't the most popular gg rn and to add to that, Wendy isn't the most popular member either. Tbh, if it was Irene who released a solo, I would definitely check it out. Ofcourse, if it was really a hit, then it would be noticed but it was just a fairly good song. There aren't many successful soloists that come from a group (even when the group is fairly popular) save for some so it's not really surprising.

By marketing you mean giving them year long hiatus every single year? YG can't even do the bare minimum for them
Promoting is different from marketing.

There's such a short list of it boys in kpop history as I can remember. This is the rank:
Gdragon > Wall of China > Kang Daniel >>> Eunwoo (to a lesser extent)
No one even comes close to Eunwoo's level rn at the very least so y'all stop it with the it boy thing lol

Hmm since they're from big 3, kinda disagree with that plus kpop these days are definitely not organic. If we're talking about views, since they're not using ads, maybe that could count.
-
It's a vocal group maybe rnb style like what the company said plus surely there's someone who is good in rap since it's yg. There's not gonna be more than 5 members based from vids taken when they were entering company building recently. They're a group of very young people. Don't know how that correlates to a gg version of bts.

It's bigbang what do we expect lol. They were in hiatus half of their career peak. They'll cb when they want to.
-
Gg's always have the high probability of hitting it big even without big 3 name sans Brave Girls, OMG, 3rd gen Gfriend and many to mention gg's in 2nd gen. So yes, I believe in Korea they probably will.
-
pretty sure it will be a gg contesting for SOTY but that won't happen this year

wannabe was a hit for a reason. it's a bop. there's a remix with nicki minaj rapping in it in yt. sorry itzy, i've probably streamed that fanmade remix a thousand times and watched the official mv just once lol

By sound, no.
By aura, a bit yes.
I think their aura screams more of an SNSD version of girlcrush rather than bp.
-
As a casual listener and a follower of big 3 gg's, nope. Their recent songs were not it. If you let someone who is not a fan of kpop and let him/her listen without mv visuals, I don't think they'll find both songs likeable.
-
Man, what happened with this song? This song's like a mashup, only, it's not done well. Vocal line has nice vocals, Giselle rap was acceptable, Karina should not rap next time. I said this about Itzy's cb recently, gg's should not do rap if they don't have a good rapper especially if they're all about girlcrush beatdrop concepts. Twice/rv rap, I could accept because their rap fits the concept even Dahyun's 'wisky wisky this is an emergency'. All of Itzy's past songs and aespa's BM are listenable and some of them bops, but what the hell were sm and jyp thinking releasing MITM and NL.
-
I really don't see any resemblance between bp and snsd at all. The style, the sound, the concept, member number, target market, etc is very very different. Bp and 2ne1 more likely.
-
both. can never go wrong with bp's older songs.
-
Yeah, itzy's past title tracks were really their own style but this one...right from the teasers, I knew it would sound like a bp song and I was right. The beats and song structure similarity is there.

I loved all their tt's even icy but this one yikes...i really don't like it when raps come out cringey. Even more so when gg's do it to have the badass vibe. I'll still give it a second listen.
