I would agree, I think people do act in a hive-mind in unnecessary times. But:
1. Cultural context. South Korea and China are more conservative than westren societies. Netizens have gone after idols for dating in the past so if they go after Lucas I won't be surprised. Plus, as the Kris Wu situation is still in the limelight, Chinese netizens may still have their pitchforks.
2. The severity. If it was just cheating then I personally would not care. However, the more things that have come out about Lucas, the worse his morality gets.
I hope nobody witch hunts or harass Lucas, but I definitely see the criticism side of things. If it's true, fuck him. If it's false, then the netizens calling him out will face huge backlash.
