well i'm glad we can all agree that guessing someone's sexuality is disrespectful and toxic
Yeah I'm pretty sure all sane fans know this, it's just the crazy fans who take the bait for fanservice
Although I know most if not all inter group shipping and flirting is fanservice but I won't resort to assuming idol's sexual preferences. It sucks when people do that to you and I hope they are all confident in what they believe and want to be
agreed.
It's cool if idols support LGBTQ+ community, a lot of their fans are part of it.
But when it comes to their own sexual identity and orientation. idols don't talk about their private life, dating life or sexual life publicly anyway. So it's a bit of a moot point. Whatever sexuality they have, they don't plan on becoming a 'gay pop icon'.
But hey, maybe one day a kpop idol will be twerking on Satan like Lil Nax X too, lol.
that would be iconic but they would probably get a lot of hate too.
Have kpop fans still not realized that most idols queerbait for fanservice?
I'm not denying nor agreeing with the fact that there are plenty of idols who genuinely want to show support or are gay/lesbian/bisexual themselves, because at the end of the day it's not our business to wonder about someone's sexual/romantic orientation.
However, the Kpop industry has been rising in the U.S., where progressiveness is a lot more normalized than it is in SK. It's logical for companies to try to cater to a larger audience, which means supporting fans in the LGBTQ+ community as well.
Look, I want to give idols the benefit of the doubt and believe that most of them are genuinely good people. But the main things these companies want is money and profit, and there's a fairly large chance that many idols show support because it's convenient, not because they genuinely want to support LGBTQ+.
Just my opinion. You're allowed to disagree

panda supremacy
humans are weird. pandas for the win.
2. they're all conventionally attractive according to both western and korean standards
3. enjoyable music and likeable members
4. they're all decently skilled according to each member's individual role
they're okay but the first two gave them a huge advantage, so i mostly agree with you. i do think their concept is fairly creative despite being "typical girl-crush". SM did a good job by using what's popular and adding a certain twist to it.
> not meant to shade

People just like them. Get over it.
i don't think OP shaded them though. OP wrote some valid criticisms that you just don't agree with, which is completely valid as well.
"ondine" by benjamin lancomb (not sure if i spelled it right).
~ ondines are similar to mermaids in the sense that they have the same connections to the ocean. however, ondines lack fish tails and are much more reminescent of spirits than mortal mythological creatures. ~
it has a basic premise but the way it develops is really unique and tragic somehow. the illustrations are incredible too.
i think it's available on amazon, not sure. you could use pdf files too. if you ever have the chance to read or buy it, just do it. ondine is great
so my family and i have this new birthday tradition where i draw a "panda of luck" or "lucky panda" and give it to a family member on his or her birthday. i also like to call it "magical panda". it's basically this cute little thing that i like to give them just because.
i don't know why i'm posting this but whatever. fun fact about me!
i have quite a few lol
- one time i dreamt that dragon ball z was premiering here in venezuela but no one was watching it because the show was directed by Nicolas Maduro (current venezuelan president that lots of people hate)
- i also dreamt that i was in a cruise going through a huge sea but everything felt out of place and eery. at one point i found myself in an "apartment" at the top of the cruise but there were people there and i started going crazy (throwing things around, punching people). so i go out the door of the apartment, down some stairs and say "i want to start over"; suddenly i'm in the second floor of my house and my dad is standing there, but he glitches and is looking at me in a super creepy way. he's also holding a spray bottle and pointing it at me for some reason
- two days ago i dreamt that i had to escape from an organ trafficking center with my family. however, my little sister wasn't with us.
