    IST responds

    hello.
    This is IST ENTERTAINMENT.

We regret the recent apparent misinformation regarding trademark rights and would like to correct it.

Contrary to what has been reported, we have decided to provide all 11 members of The Boyz with the right to use the trademark free of charge, and have already conveyed this intention to the members.

In addition, we wanted to allow free use of the trademark in any activity (including unit and individual activities) that the 11 members agreed to.

Furthermore, we have decided to terminate the exclusive contract early for one member who still has about 6 months left on his contract, regardless of the remaining contract period, in order to support his activities with the new agency, and have already conveyed this intention to the member.

The decision we made to provide the free use of the trademark to the members themselves, the 'main body of the team', rather than to a new agency, was a decision based on our consideration for a deeper and smoother encounter and more active activities between the members and fans in the future.

We thought it would be more appropriate to provide the free usage rights to the 'members themselves' in order to support the sustainability of The Boyz, a team that is loved by many people, and their barrier-free encounter with fans.

The rumor that 'it is reported that they demanded an excessive trademark price' and the rumor that 'the new company made demands that exceeded the normal level' are also not true.

Rather, our company was in a position to wait for various proposals with an open attitude regarding trademark rights, and only had some basic and normal discussions for a smooth handover.

Although our relationship with The Boyz has come to an end, we promise to support The Boyz so that they do not experience any inconvenience in their future activities, and we will sincerely cheer on their future endeavors.

Candlelight rally was held in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul to call for the removal of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration.

They held candles and chanted slogans such as "Yoon Suk-yeol should step down," "The people have won," "Let's open the resignation square," and "Let's realize the people's sovereignty."

Han Sang-hee, co-leader of the Participatory Solidarity Party, who took the microphone, said,

"This is a heinous president," adding, "He has imposed the same martial law that ruined our history. He should resign immediately."

Yang Kyung-so, chairman of the Korea Federation of Democratic Trade Unions, also said,

"As of today, Yoon Suk-yeol is not the president," and insisted that President Yoon should be arrested for the crime of rebellion.

Citizens also took to the podium to speak freely.

Cho Jin-young, who is from Incheon, said he voted for Yoon in the presidential election two years ago, adding,

"You know what it means to be a deficit, and I am here to take the least responsibility for the mistakes I made." He called for impeachment.

    Lee Mi-hyun said,

"As a mother who sent her twin sons to the military, I couldn't help but stand here,"

It is reported that President Yoon did not accept Representative Han’s demands for his withdrawal from the party and the resignation of the entire cabinet. An official who attended the meeting said, “I felt that there was a big difference in perception between President Yoon and Representative Han.”

It is also reported that Representative Han demanded that President Yoon withdraw from the party during the private meeting between Prime Minister Han and Representative Han at the Prime Minister’s residence in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.

This is very interesting part because Han is from same party as Yoon. So there are chances that at one point group of people which are close to Han will decide to vote for Yoon's impeachment, if Yoon won't do what they demand from him.

Oh no, I really wish for them to move together to a new company and get the treatment and career opportunities they envision for themselves and as a group.

Well, I honestly find the name The Boyz a bit cringe, so if they rebrand as something better, I won't mind terribly. But I just wish all will go well for them.

they already are in new company ONE HUNDRED, which was negotiating the group name rights with their previous one, IST Entertainment

THE BOYZ has lost the trademark to their group name as negotiations with their former company, IST Entertainment, fell through. They’ll now have to promote under a different group name.

Trademark negotiations between the group THE BOYZ and their former agency, IST Entertainment, have broken down.

THE BOYZ's new agency, ONE Hundred, announced on the 4th, "In the process of conditional negotiations for trademark rights, we have become unable to accept the trademark rights that the artists have kept for seven years due to IST Entertainment's unreasonable negotiation conditions."

"We have been doing our best to negotiate the matter. THE BOYZ also tried their best to maintain the trademark until the end for their fans, but they did not get a good result," he said, adding, "We express our deep regret to IST Entertainment."

At the same time, it left room for negotiations until the end of the contract. One Hundred said, "We want (THE BOYZ's) unblemished and unscathed transfer to an amicably agreed agency," and promised that "we will do our best to negotiate trademark rights with an open mind, and even if the negotiations break down, we will thoroughly prepare for THE BOYZ to operate as a better brand name."

In fact, it is known that One Hundred and THE BOYZ recently applied for trademarks such as The Boys, The New Boyz, and TNBZ in view of the possibility of a failed trademark agreement with IST Entertainment.

Meanwhile, the contract between THE BOYZ and IST Entertainment will expire on December 5. After that, THE BOYZ will work as a singer for One Hundred.

    The following is the official

statement of ONE HUNDRED, which is the new ONE HUNDRED members will be transferred.

In the process of IST Entertainment, THE BOYZ's agency, conditionally negotiating the trademark rights related to THE BOYZ with the artists, ONE HUNDRED was unable to accept the trademark rights that the artists had kept for seven years due to IST Entertainment's unreasonable negotiating conditions.

In the meantime, ONEHUNDRED has been doing its best to negotiate trademark rights with IST Entertainment. The BOYZ artists also did their best to maintain their trademark rights for their fans until today, but we would like to express our deep regret to IST Entertainment for not achieving a good result.

ONE HUNDRED put THE BOYZ and their fans first, and they wanted a move to an agency where everything was amicably agreed upon without any blemishes and wounds.

Therefore, until December 5th, the end of the contract, ONE HUNDRED will do its best to negotiate trademark rights with an open mind, and even if the negotiations break down, we will thoroughly prepare for the current THE BOYZ members to work under a better brand name.

The Korean Confederation of Democratic Trade Unions (KCTU) announced on the 4th that it will go on an indefinite general strike until the Yoon Suk-yeol administration is overthrown.

The KCTU held a press conference at its central executive committee office in Jeong-dong, Seoul, this morning and said, "We will stand at the forefront of the people together with the people and fight for Yoon Suk-yeol's immediate resignation."

He said, "The KCTU general strike will be the beginning of clearing the era of inequality and polarization and opening a new era of respect for labor," and emphasized, "Let us move toward a new society in which basic labor rights and the welfare of the people are guaranteed through the general strike."

The KCTU will gather at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul at 9 a.m.
