I didn't have time to watch both mama or mma this year. Just watched their mma performanse. Wow. The difference between them and other performances; the energy. This is the first time i heard their song, I'd be hyped if i was in the audience. Which i cannot say for groups whose performances i just watched. Aespa wasn't live but they at least bothered to record lar. They were good too. But nobody like kiss of life.

What's the point of live stages if you don't bother to sing live? You don't have to sing every line, sing something. Performances that aren't performed live are boring, they lack energy.

I don't think bridges carry that much importance in a song compared to the chorus and verses so whatever if hybe doesn't have bridges in their songs who cares
I do not think not having a bridge is what makes hybes songs replayable though
Their groups also can't carr vocally so their bridges would be raps or chants I guess

It is fair to also say global digital charts are legit. There are several global digital charts and its just too expensive to rig.
But Korean digital charts and album sales are dodgy atm.
What charts? Can you list the charts you think they are legit? I'm actually not into charts 😬 but i find weird when groups have great sales but cannot sell out biger venues

Something regarding SKZ that should also be put into consideration is that this was their 4th physical release this year alone.. They had a Japanese release just 2 months before (one that is certified 1M at that), and only a 5 month gap from a full album. Fans are overwhelmed, and barely have time to even get excited for a new album and miss/want them back, as they are constantly releasing stuff. The single still show growth despite the album sales, so the less C-bar support + overwhelmed fans = not as high sales. 4M is better than I thought.
I don't think that being overwhelmed is that unsual. Kpop fans usually support every content their faves release, they like to flex the numbers.
Bts members released 6 albums in the span of July 2022 till November 2023 and had great sales, armys were also overwhelmed. We even had one month break between two releases. And all but one send million copies, two over 2m.

But honestly it doesn't matter, we all know sales are inflated. To me the only thing that showcases actual popularity are concert venues and tickets. You can't inflate tickets. And stray kids are definitely doing well. If I'm on a budget I'd rather buy a concert ticket than album. I can buy the album later
