There are literally sources for albums or artists with most critical acclaim. Its not clear cut, but you can see the rough segments artists fall into. And BTS is in a different segment from the rest of boybands, globally or locally. You can agree or disagree with critics, but you cant go around claiming Radiohead isnt more critically acclaimed than Maroon 5 or than Kendrick Lamar is somehow on same level with 6ix9ine. Same goes for other genres.
Exactly they aren’t clear and differ from source to source. BTS is a great critically acclaimed Group but there is nothing that can 100% say they are the most or even “ever” .
Of course not everyone is on the same level... still your claim is wrong cause you can’t determine something like this. And literally nobody does. But Kpop fans want a most or best in nearly everything lol. There are areas where you can do this but this isn’t one.

OK, lets try to find any actual reviews of BB. Pitchfork gave GD a 6.1, when he had the album attempting to break into west, thats it. NME has an article about Seungri and Coachella, thats it. I have not seen any valid review sites review them. Korean critical acclaim should be nicely consolidated in KMAs results.
Lmfao... this has nothing to do with BB or any Artist you are just wrong with your claim cause nobody ever talks about “most critical acclaim “ as there aren’t clear sources for that. People talk about Acts who have a lot of critical acclaim.
Also your last statement couldn’t be more wrong and didn’t help your argument at all but on the other hand I didn’t expected anything else from you anyway :)

I said that I included the big boy bands of recent years. The point was to compare biggest boybands over their critical response and most big boy bands have been western. Kpop boy bands dont have any good critical reponse, KMAs have existed from 2004 and boy groups other than BTS have only 1 daesang and few nominations or smaller category wins. Other big boy bands have been Japanese and noone is critically acclaiming them.
If all existing sources point to one direction, it kind of seems true, no?
We can maybe argue about Jackson 5 or Bee Gees or whatever, when it comes to boy bands from more distant history and boyband definitions, but that has less to do with the point, which is looking at boybands in modern sense.
Again you only had two sources. Metacritic and KMA, they are an indicator that this Group had critical acclaim but is not a good argument for the most ever. Ever means even older Groups and not just in the modern sense. There are other critics sites where BTS isn’t even included.
Is BTS the best critical acclaim BG on Metacritic ? Yes
Do they have the most KMA wins ? Yes
But to combine this and claim they are the most critical acclaim BG ever is a little reach considering that it takes far more researches and it’s also a bit more complex to detain that.
If you only mean in Korea ? It’s debatable.
Anyway not here to argue with you, i just felt your arguments for that claim is weak and not really thought out.

But why would I have to defend another woman just because I am female? Why do I have to always choose the person with my ethnicity? We are individuals with different values and wishes. People should stop using this kind of mob mentality.
People will throw their own gender under the bus BECAUSE they are individuals in the first place and not only a woman, poc or more. That‘s why generalizations do not make any sense. Yes, it does influence your decisions but there are more factors to it than just being in a certain social group. Everyone has different morals and values in the end

That statement is not true.
BTS is the BG with the most critical acclaim on Metacritic. On that site and not worldwide and definitely not ever.
The critics over there are American-centric, they don’t really review Forgein Groups unless they are somehow known in the US as they relay on article reviews etc. So definitely also not in Korea if you only rely on that site.
The site was created in 1999, the focus wasn’t even really on music as it is now. Many Boygroups therefore not included or their score is lower because there weren’t enough article sources from their time.
Also with BTS having more KMA Deasangs then BB, you do realize that BB hasn’t been active since 2016 ? It’s not a good proof either.
But they are the biggest BG right now that’s true.
