Cause they're not. None of them have outstanding visuals which is completely fine.
We LOVE G-idle cause they're different, actually write their own music, and have songs and MV's that actually provide social commentary that almost NO KPOP GROUP DOES.

Did people forget that I Got a Boy started and popularized this whole trend?
-
ok so maybe oo is to get them some clout and then people will check out tank and tank will smash. hope that’s the plan
i'm not sure but isn't JYP also releasing an MV for TANK soon? It would be the best decision since that song has potential. But it RARELY happens that a b-side charts well. If JYP was banking on debuting a group with a banger of a b-side, that would be a dumb idea in the current climate. But we'll see what happens

Good point. So did you predict that Next Level was gonna be big? Because Next Level and Step Back both had backlash at first and still did well.
no but i immediately understood what SM was doing. Listening to the instrumentals really shows that SM is kinda the king of, i dont know how to say this but, 'brainwashing'. There is always kinda that hook that sounds extremely off putting and then just won't leave your brain. O.O does not have a hook, just trying to emulate what Aespa did with Next Level.
HOWEVER!!!! Listening to TANK, that song has potential to become something like "Step Back". Extremely off putting on the first few listens, and then just WONT LEAVE YOUR BRAIN afterwards. I've been blasting that song the entire time now, it's really weird and addictive. O.O lacks that hypnotic feeling that something like TANK brings.

the past 2 years it has been only harder and harder to chart. Nowadays songs chart low and creep up. I highly doubt the public will get addicted to the song like Next Level and Step Back did.

This signals the potential downfall of K-pop. That a big 4 agency would release this garbage is beyond me. I do love experimental music but there is nothing experimental about this. It takes basic HIPHOP/EDM beats that boygroups have been using the past 8 years non stop, and cutting it short to add some basic girl crush pop rock melody in between. It's not innovative, its cheap and lazy. TANK is a bop tho

I know right! There are way more luvies that would love to attend, but maybe they don't want to have too many people because of covid?
whether its 6000 or 20000. people are gonna get covid. SM seems to always give Red Velvet small venues even tho they sell out in seconds. SM is at this point purposefully down playing Red Velvet's succes and fanbase
-
can they get bigger venues tho?

It really fits her and gives me a bit of Kelly Clarkson/Avril Lavigne vibes but in her own way

i wouldn't even pay for an online concert. Seems stupid

beautiful on the album was a much better choice for a title track

See people, THIS is what a live stage sounds like.
This is one of those rare moments in 4th gen kpop where the group is actually singing live.

Not a single song of my favorite 2021 songs but i give you 1 out of 10 points for next level.
Next Level is that National hit we've been missing the past 2/3 years
