And one of the only metrics you have so deal with it.
Every form of music consumption has its cons:
1. Physicals - mass buying
2. Streaming - curated playlists and mass streaming
3. Radio - pay to play
The only thing you can't contest is touring power and the revenue and ultimately to me those are the most important component of being an artist as they bring the most money.

I had to study Quantum Mechanics in my first semester. I found the subject interesting but I already chose Computer Science as my major, so I'm pursuing that instead

They provide good escape, relaxation and entertainment to me. My real life is very hectic and tiring. They are like small pleasures/hobby which provide you with positivity when you are in my position. Some good music and much needed laugh.

I usually analyze how bg kpop fans behave towards their faves dating and I always find it hilarious. If the girl he's dating is a celebrity they like or someone near their age, they ship it else they think the rumour is false. In this case, Suran is in the same age group of AKP ARMY and they believe the rumour. Meanwhile, the tattoo girl is a non celebrity and not in the same age group as these noona fans, so they don't ship it.
Before you say "I" am enroaching someone's privacy, look what the posts on this thread and my post. Other fans are making theories on BTS dating rumours. Meanwhile, I was mocking these fans and the replies.
You should be saying those words to the OP who made this thread and other users who are speculating on BTS private life. You quoting me here makes zero sense when I'm not the one making theories
Let me reiterate: Your first comment was neither condemning the thread nor really mocking the investment. It was a diversion. Your point was not "don't invade privacy" it was "you care about celebrities not non fans", "you don't ship the non celebrity tattoo girl." When who cares should have been the point.
About the posts in this thread, I already made a flippant remark above as to why such threads are being made. I acknowledge the Suran issue and that's why I quoted that user who was insistant on them dating with "I wouldn't believe these rumours."

It's not about believing and not believing.
Every army (outside new fans) knows about this ex of Jungkook. He himself has talked about it. Just like we all know about Namjoon and Hoseok's exes too who have also talked about their respective ex girlfriends. It's whatever. The reason why ambiguity for non confirmed cases remain and SHOULD remain is because of privacy reasons and the artist making it clear he does not want it to be public. Do you deem it ethical encroaching someone's privacy for your personal entertainment or to confirm your theories? Are you a fan before you are human?

i would link the suga/suran article with the proof but i’d have to look for it and i’m a little lazy rn. but they didn’t just wear the same hoodie, they were definitely dating. bighit denied it as usual because that’s the time when bts were taking off in the us (2017 i think) and they didn’t want a dating scandal to cause problems. it’s common knowledge among k-fans that he was dating her but i guess i-fans believed bighit instead.
Unless you are getting this from Chinese fans I will say this entire thing shall remain ambiguous. People can have their theories.
