LMAO - not sure if its already been posted but here is Bangs statement. Long story short, it reads like a DUI apology and only briefly mentions the IPO issues, nothing else.
[instiz] BANG SIHYUK'S SACRED STATEMENT
Dear HYBE Members,
Hello everyone, this is Bang Sihyuk.
It’s been a while since I last reached out to you via email.
Due to a series of events that began last year, and more recently some personal matters of mine, both the company and my name have been continuously mentioned in a negative light in the news. I can only imagine the confusion, sense of loss, and concern this must have caused those of you who take great pride in being part of HYBE. As the founder and chairman, I feel a heavy sense of responsibility for causing you such distress. First and foremost, I sincerely apologize to all of you who may have been unsettled by these circumstances.
HYBE was the starting point of my journey to realize the ideals and dreams I’ve held as a creator. I wanted to present works that fully reflected my own creative identity and to build a stage where artists could freely pursue their dreams. I also hoped to improve the quality of life for industry professionals so that everyone could feel happiness and pride in their work. What started as a small endeavor grew with the intent to be a strong support system for creators, artists, members like yourselves, and everyone in the industry. Thankfully, it has continued to grow thanks to your empathy and support.
Because this work began with a grand dream and a strong sense of purpose, to advance the music industry, I have always strived to act with integrity. However, I humbly reflect on the fact that what I considered confidence may have come across as arrogance at times. I’m taking a hard look at myself to identify any shortcomings or oversights that may have occurred during our journey of growth.
Though I was fully aware of the concern I was causing, the past few months have been painful for me as well, as I wasn’t able to respond swiftly or thoroughly to various suspicions and controversies. I have felt especially remorseful knowing that due to personal issues of mine, our creators and artists, who should be focused solely on their craft and business, might be affected, directly or indirectly. As a creator myself, this has been deeply distressing. I ask for your understanding that, given the ongoing investigation by the authorities, I had to be cautious with every word I spoke.
However, more than anyone, I know that I cannot allow my personal matters to continue burdening the company and the industry. Over the past few years, I have had to spend extended periods overseas due to urgent production and business meetings for our artists’ comebacks and company expansion. But I will now put those on hold and return to Korea as soon as possible to fully cooperate with the authorities. As I did during the financial authorities’ previous investigation, I will once again explain the circumstances surrounding the IPO in detail and sincerely respond to the investigation. I expect that through this process, the facts will be clarified, and I will humbly await the authorities’ judgment.
To all HYBE members who have steadfastly stayed in your roles despite the confusion, I offer my deepest gratitude. Your dedication, the relentless passion of our creators, and the brilliant activities of our artists are the most powerful driving forces behind HYBE. The remarkable achievements we are making both domestically and internationally would not be possible without the efforts of each and every one of you. I have deep respect for the sincerity and capabilities of those of you who are building a globally recognized content industry from the intangible asset of music.
I will do everything I can to explain and resolve this situation, so that my personal matters do not become an obstacle to your talents, abilities, or spirit of challenge. I will not forget that my role is to ensure that you can focus solely on your creative and business pursuits. And just like every member of HYBE, I will also continue to reflect and stay committed to the development of music and the industry, without losing the original intent with which I started.
To all HYBE members who continue to shine in your respective roles, I once again offer my deepest apologies and heartfelt thanks.
Sincerely,
Bang Sihyuk

1. Advancing the music industry...? A sense of duty...? That's just laughable
2. Sigh just let my bias go, and go to prison if you have to. The way you're clinging to your idols like a leech, sucking them dry is disgusting
3. Shut up and go through with the investigation already ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Why is he like that ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
4. His tongue is way too long
5. So why did you meddle with Min Heejin from the start? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
6. He's such a mess
7. As a "creator" ㅋ
8. He's too noisy
9. He can resolve everything by just leaving
10. He's so shamelessBLAH BLAH BLAH, fuck off you l* (AlexS edit)

They named them clitoris?

Waka Waka was connected to the World Cup, the biggest sport event in the world.Yes, bigger than the Olympics as more people watch it.
Ye and the only time people care about it is every 4 years when theres a world cup

Really? Name more than 5 groups that can do singing, rap, and dancing on an average level at least!
Pretty much, the whole Idol industry was built on one simple thing: you need multiple members, because 1 member can cover up the mistakes or the lack of skills of the others.
Only clueless and delusional fans think Idols can do everything. People call their faves ACEs or All-rounders, but they have zero idea what that actually means. I don't think I could name more than 10 Idols, not group, whom are actual ACEs or true all-rounders.
Aside from moonbyul and yeonjun who are the other 8.
Edit I really don't even like considering rap as a criteria. Good rappers in kpop are harder to find than winning the lottery

Ok 3 with baby shark. Shape of you uptown funk and waka Waka never had the reach of Despacito or Gangnam style. Hell outside of football people barely remember Waka Waka, waving flag is the one that remembered more

There have been exactly 2 mega hits this century. Gangnam Style and Despacito

Not everyone who is rich is going to be associated with everyone...
In a country as small as Korea they definitely are
-
That's not an answer.
That is the answer, theyre rich
-
Some say they're related, to varying degrees, whilst others say they aren't related.

I would like to know, if not related, how they became acquainted with eachother to begin with...
They both own successful companies in Korea it would be weird it they weren't acquainted

Yeah he was similar to her in already being a top prospect at a dance academy while she was a pro ballerina so the dancing part of their training and performing could be skipped. Its really only vocal lessons and that can be done in minimal time before debut. The idea that all idols need 3 to 4 years to debut is nonsense.

If 2nd gen groups can sell like absolute dogshit and be rich he can absolutely still thrive in the land of the ajummas
Bruh TVXQ (all5) are the riches idols in Korea for a reason
-
How do even measure fandom size? Album sales? Touring? Engagement on social media?
Should be monthly listening numbers and social media interaction as both touring and album sales in Kpop isnt a good metric, Kpop groups will have people from other fandom attending their concerts just for the fact its kpop and album sales are inflated by rich fans and multiple copies

I think it's combination of many factors that make it hard for newier groups to take a top spot. Like the old top groups BP and Twice still being active and taking a big share of the spotlight, harder competion from domestic groups in other SE contries and as other have said a bit more generic groups, even if I would said that is not a totally new problem. Maybe kpop also is a bit less "cool" these days, it's nothing new anymore.
See this would make sense if the 2nd gen weren't also active well into the third gen. Still groups like EXO and RV hit hard at launch and then went on to dominate against their famous seniors. There isnt a single 4th gen or 5th gen group I can see being bigger than Twice much less BP and BTS
