that would be my concern we do not need another instance like TATU where underaged girls were forced to kiss and pretend to be a couple for a decade, and then find out only one of them is a member of the community and the other has trauma from being forced to act like someone they aren't. As long as the members themselves agreed to this and are okay with it, then I would be fine, otherwise I will be uncomfortable.

Who was the most iconic/memorable girl/boy group for you within the last decade?
For me I’ll have to say:
Sistar & SNSD: this is because their songs and dances together went unmatched. For example every title track they came out with, everybody knew the dance to and really vibed with
Shinee: I mean shinee, at their peak, were trendsetters and the nation’s little brothers. Even when they debuted their fashion sense trended in Korea (imagine being the one to bring skinny jeans to Korea)
Honorable mention of course exo and bts:
Everyone covers exo songs and dances and are still covering their old songs like growl. Bts ... need I explain
I think the charm of earlier kpop was the catchy dances so that when you heard a 2nd gen song you automatically think of the dance or do it. it was much more realistic for them to actually be able to sing stable and dance same time and have fun.
Today kpop choreos are so hard and complicated and for what reason?? It makes even singing live extremely hard and now a lot depend on retakes and focus more on a perfect dance execution
I miss listening to kpop songs and enjoying it because of the fun and catchy dances that go with it. Now companies don’t even look to make dances that can trend

Chenle was a whole star in China and is treating like a sub vocalist sometimes.
Ten is literally the star of nct and was pulled from 127 and sent to wayv so they can IDK, continue focusing and centering taeyong and mark (even though they overwork tf out of them)
The MAIN reason is personality.
I love both exo and bts, but everyone can agree that bts had the personalities that made them shine as well as the attitude that got the western market right on.
Although exo’s music was great and they had way bigger hits (especially with Korea gp$ during that time (the beginning) their personalities were just meh and were the standard kpop assignments: a cold city guy, funny dorky, quiet cool, and so on.. which made them kind’ve repetitive
So when you have bts underdogs with these funny videos and genuine personalities, it was more fun to get into them.
