I mean.....read the actual full interview. It doesn't matter that she was guaranteed a spot or not. HYBE wasn't going to let her sit around and debut as-is. Do you think a huge company like HYBE with a ton of trainees at their disposal doesn't have high standards? She had to start all over again and do weekly evaluations, cover assignments, learn how to do different dance styles, learn how to also sing with different styles, etc. She went through the whole HYBE training regime. The hard work and training that she underwent under HYBE is 100% visible to anybody who followed her during IZ*One days. The proof is in the pudding. Her greatly improved stage presence and singing ability after her debut under Le Sserafim is testament to how much work she had to endure over the last year.
Trying to say that she didn't have to face any challenge is undermining all of her hard work and effort that she had to go through. And anybody who actually spends even a little bit of effort to pay attention to her growth over the last few years can testify to this.
