And this is why celebrities are celebrities and we're not. Celebrities don't care about looks. They care about social status and compatibility.

At some point, being surrounded by beautiful men and women all the time will desensitize you to good looks, making you value inner beauty much more. Celebrities are on a different wavelength when it comes to attraction.

Not saying Jennie and GD are dating, but it shouldn't be a surprise for an "attractive" celebrity to date an "unattractive" one. Look at the Hollywood couples, past and present.

Not to the extent that we do. That's all I'm saying. They see beautiful people all the time, so they're used to it. They don't fall over backwards the way we do when we see attractive people.

They care more that the person understands their needs and problems as a global superstar, and that has nothing to do with looks. Not saying Jennie and GD are dating, but it would make sense if they are. They're both very famous K-pop idols and cultural icons.

That's true, of course. I'm just saying it wouldn't be a surprise if they date someone less attractive. It happens all the time. It's just that status and compatibility matter way more to them than looks do.

My initial response was towards the person who's basically shading GD's looks. I just wanted to debate against their perspective.

K-pop got some of you in the lookism rabbit hole and now you have no clue what a person looks like without all the high maintenance.

"Type" is way more than just looks to celebrities. They're celebrities and we're not. They have way more important priorities when it comes to dating. They're around good-looking models every day. They're bored of it and would rather be with someone who understands them perfectly despite what that person looks like.

Respect Kai. Respect GD. Respect Jennie.

Maybe her and Kai's personalities didn't gel and her and GD's do. Point is, you don't know her so you don't know her taste in men. None of us do.

Thank you. Finally a respectful and reasonable take on this. "Type" isn't just about looks. It's often about personality and vibe, which can be extremely attractive. That matters way more in long-term, serious relationships. Some K-pop stans are so superficial that they lose grasp of how reality works.
