Jungkook Age

Hi, I'm a new BTS fan & I'm a little confused on how old Jungkook is. Supposedly he was born in 1997 & is 24. In the first episode of Bon Voyage they celebrated his coming of age day which from what I read is for people turning 20 in that year. But that show first aired in 2016 in which he would have only turned 19 that year & was only 18 at the time of filming. So how old is he really?

You're not the first to be confused by Korean age. They have some traditional ways of determining age based on the Lunar calendar there, but know that they do use international age on documents for other countries. They are even trying to pass a bill to get rid of the other two ways Koreans determine age for official documents even within Korea.

Anyway TL;DR: he's 24, turning 25 in September of this year!

No need to be rude. Obviously I did look up his info hence me stating his birth year in my post. Thankfully Ves was kind enough to explain it to me.
