Why haven’t other groups done English versions like Itzy?

  • Itzy already has many English versions of their songs to cater to Western audiences. Why haven’t other groups made effort to do the same?

    Approved the thread.
  • Because they'll sound childish.

  • Some groups have. SM groups often do it I think. Snsd, Red Velvet and Nct have all done english versions. Gidle too. Monsta X and Day6. BTS with mic drop. Lots of groups have released english versions for one or two of their comebacks.

  • Lots of groups do either English versions of their title tracks or other fully-English songs. Some have even done songs in other languages like Spanish...

  • I think this is a non issue

most groups do have english alts to the point that I can't think of any group that you'd be referring to.

  • Lots of groups do. CLC put out an English version of Helicopter. Didn't save them.

And it's dicey anyway. English versions rarely sound better, because it usually just highlights the basic lyrics, also weird English grammar and pronunciation.

  • [Insert Paw Patrol OST joke here]
