is it safe to say Hybe is just bad at making debut mvs?

  • TXT

    Enhyphen

    Le sserafim

Compare them to the rest of Big 4:

    Aespa

    Nmixx

    Treasure

I guess people got a point when they said Hybe is a big company with small company mentality.

But what I don't get it is they have some really good debut trailers:

    Enhypen:

    Le sserafim:

So I know they're capable of making intriguing and interesting videos, but why not put more effort in the official MVs?

What are your thoughts on this?

    Approved the thread.
  • they can't even make good mvs for bts anymore, i would only expect less for the other groups

  • i would generalise it more

hybe (lumpens) doesn't know how to make MVs in general anymore

  • I think it's safer to say they are cheap-asses. The writing was on the wall when BTS put out a photobook on printer paper and HYBE didn't even spring for staples...

  • TXT had a great debut MV, it stood out. And they have had some really impressive high budget MVs since. Dunno about Enhypen cause I don't watch them.

Le Sserafim MV was fine for me, they wanted it to look minimalistic and sleek I'm guessing. To set them apart from all the in your face-ness of most 4th gen debuts maybe, where everything is amped up to 11.

  • Kpop stans that judge whether a MV is good based on how expensive it was make me wonder if they stan artistic expression or luxurious image. Imagine if BTS released Save Me MV now, those Kpop stans would pee in their pants with delight to say it’s cheap. That MV was a masterpiece in it’s simplicity and one take.

Pity Kpop stans are brainwashed into thinking that bigger budget, more in your face scenes, more luxurious sets, everything must be extra - means the MV is good. And something to be proud of, like an achievement.

The thing is, if the MV is the most expensive one, but did just ok on the charts, it’s kinda sad right? More power to those who has moderate budget MV but are well liked by so many people.

  • With LSF, the MV was actually better than the song lol

  • Oh pls , kpoppies always hating on hybe artists never cease to amaze. Did it ever occur to all of u that perhaps they dobt care abt YT views that much? They dont do ads, and according to all of , they dont pt much effort? But they are probably earning more coz they have less exp & effort , & no ads to pay? And theb their physical sales are great for all their artists even their spotify streams? So who’s winning now? Also, excluding official mvs ( except for BTS who is obviously an anomaly) , all their artists content on their own YT channels have great engagements and good number of followers. So yeah, they are definitely winning!
