I just asked staff here and badge trades are not a thing here. If you wish to get different badges you must buy them. And if you wish to not display certain badges you may choose which ones to display from your trophies settings.

i mean, she's a new idol. a lot of the older iconic groups have zero people with their badges, like the suju members.

Yes we can still have more than 6 badges, just we cannot rearrange them. We can select which ones to display but we cannot rearrange the order of badges in our profile, since they are arranged by their # in ascending order in the trophy shop.
