Is kep1er losing fans?

  • I seriously think Queendom is damaging their fanbase it seems like they’re losing fans not gaining :pleading:

  • Hmm I don't really think so ... their performances in Queendom haven't been stellar, but it's not like they've stood out as being mediocre (tbh most of Queendom 2 has been subpar). I don't think they're losing fans but I also don't think they've done enough to gain fans.

I think what Queendom has shown is that their dedicated fanbase is probably not as big as everyone thought? The prediction was that they would blow everyone else out of the water on global voting and views (esp since the only other contestant with a decent international fanbase is loona), but their global voting and views have both been unimpressive. Voting-wise, rankings would almost certainly change if voting is changed to one-pick, but I had previously thought that their international fanbase would be large enough to get them to still rank fairly high even with two-pick voting.

  • idk about losing fans but they just don't stand out among their peers at all

  • Their sob story in queendom was so cringe that i went from liking them (from the intro performance) to feeling meh. Mnet made a bad decision to send them when they're not ready.

  • It was a bad idea to have them compete with their seniors when their skills, confidence and experience aren't quite up to there just yet.

Planet 999 created an illusion of selecting (mostly) the most talented and charismatic superstars out of 99 contestants, but when comparing the top 9 of those contestants Kepler still aren't performing as well as those who have tons of experience and just as talented as them. It's sort of like putting Lee Chaeyeon in SWF just to have her competing against professional dancers.

Kepler was meant to have these "all-rounders" and dancers like Hikaru, Youngeun and Dayeon, or singer like Chaehyun who most fans called "one of the best vocalists in 4th gen", but there's no way they would be able to stand out against vocalists like Yeonjung or LOONA who's more creative and just as charismatic and talented as them, let alone an experienced superstar like Hyolyn.

Chaehyun is a much better vocalist than all of Loona...the vocal unit hasn't performed yet. Minyoung 2nd and ofc Hyolyn first though so it's really that others are better.

  • They just debuted yesterday 💀

  • tbh, i just really don't bother with them. idk, all 4th gen ggs captures my attention (all ggs in general) and i listen to their songs. this is the one group that has a decent fanbase that i just dont care for about the members and the songs. no hate.

  • I thought Queendom would give them an extra push in popularity. That isn't happening?
