Is that why UMG teamed up with hybe for a new gg?

    Just saw a thread that umg was disspaointed with BP's chart results. Does this mean they won't be pushing them in US anymore? Because now they've signed bts under them and a new gg under umg??

    Hybe was supposed to have a western bg with UMG or idk with scooter? Not sure but then suddenly they announce they gonna debut their own gg next year. Suspicious.

    I mean obviously they want more money. If BP can't give them that they'll come up with smth else. They think Hybe can give them a huge fanbase, which I doubt because armys mostly don't care about this gg.

    These companies are like vultures and follow the money, they don't care about kpop

    People talking about money when BP aren't even given a cb to tour or to have albums sold. Their cf deals are all on YGE side so either umg already knows that BP won't renew or they know that even if they renew YGE won't give them more music which in both cases the money is little or inexistent.

    Kpop stans really like to dowbloplay the cost of US promo. I've stanned western groups for years a small appearance of late night shows was considered blessing.

    Lil mix was told to "mingle" with radio djs for radio play. BP was given good promo in west. Blame yg for not giving enough comebacks, interscope is the best when it comes to promo.

    Okay listen. The limit for ggs in the US is BP. No ggs can do greater than them in the west.

    If they want success with a western gg why would they work with HYBE lol...Their only non BTS group is TXT who have had pretty mediocre results in the west and their new gg hardly looks promising either

    Thnaks to bts everyone thinks bang pd is a magician and got some recipe to create next bts.

    I think US labels are gonna try anything they can to replicate BTS' success. creating a new gg with HYBE? why not. sign a bunch of kpop groups who have 1/50 of BTS' demand? why not.

    Blackpink's last album sold over a million. Lisa's solo sold over a million in the US (don't know about Rose's). So the sales are there. What's not there is much contribution from Interscope. If they were expecting BTS sales from a girl group that's just weird. And they won't get it from their new group either.
