    IVE is a rookie group but already is passing every group record aside of some of the 3rd gen

    IVE haven't released a mini album or did any promo outside of korea and they are getting big numbers everywhere in the world even in physical sales

    IVE Love Dive in spotify global and apple music global is still stable to this day after 2 weeks the song being released

    IVE is showing big digital power in domestic charts even when they have to fight with digital monsters like big bang. the fact ive is beaten them in some charts is already incredible

    IVE already has done more than most groups and they just debuted 5 months ago




    Isn't it funny though all the companies went for a girl crush concept to achieve the minimium of blackpink and here comes ive with something totally different and take the global market by an storm?

    As you said it’s funny, since 2018 companies been clearly taking inspo from bp to appeal globally but it’s Ive who isn’t that similar in sound or style how shows the most promise I’ve seen for a rookie group since Blackpink

    They could be the next super girl group if they need to play their cards right

    IVE has been very successful. I'm particularly impressed with their international performance.

    Their domestic charting has also been excellent, but I wouldn't put any importance on IVE beating Big Bang on bugs or YT music. Bugs has almost negligible market share. YT music is highly dependent on promotions because it includes all YT clips where the audio has been used, and obviously IVE has been everywhere whereas Big Bang hasn't done any promo. On Melon and Genie where you can see ULs and streaming numbers, Love Dive is nowhere near Still Life. Still, very impressive - will probably overtake Tomboy this week/next week.


    They've still got a bit of a way to go before they can be labelled the new blackpink though (esp since it's not like blackpink has disbanded despite what seems like a neverending hiatus). A contender for top 4th gen group for sure.

    So it shows that charismatic idols and great music will get you far. So happy IVE is not from any of the big4 labels.

    No it's not. Some charts award points for promotions and they all award for physical albums. IVE has these (they released three different versions of their physical album). Bigbang have an unpromoted digital single.


    IVE's song is designed for broad appeal, use of English, fashion, etc. Bigbang's single was all in Korean and addressed to their fandom.


    Go ahead and be excited for your faves, but acting like IVE are giant killers is very premature.

    I agree. Its just their first comeback and they have shown stability on charts, top charting on korean and international metrics and amazing sales (they literally doubled their sales from 1st cb which was already pretty high for a non big4 group).

    Their potential is insane, I hope Starship keep doing what they're doing.

    They are following the blackpink formula the way more than you think . Individual brand deals from fashion houses, trendy generic music, importance on visuals, it girl.
