sure, bp might have had bigger spotify numbers in like 2017 or something, but except for insta followers & few more watched MVs on youtube, bp is nowhere getting close to bts since 2019/2020 everywhere else. it's useless to start bringing up awards or streaming numbers, but seeing this thread, blinks clearly find it ridiculous twice is compared to bp so don't be suprised others find it ridiculous to compare bts & bp.

the "omg bp is done", "they aren't #1 gg anymore", "younger groups are overtaking them" narrative has been repeating every single hiatus. every time bp isn't present on the scene for a longer period of time and all gg fandoms suddenly start dragging the pinks out of nowhere, thinking they're better but the truth is 99% of the ggs ain't even close to bp's numbers and impact in 2018 let alone now. lisa's and rosé's solos made more noise and scored bigger numbers than some groups' whole careers so let's not get too brave. at least wait till their comeback to write such threads.

aespa and gidle had one hit song and twice had one sold-out tour in USA. neither of those things is making them "bigger than bp" especially when the records they're breaking are the same records bp set in 4 years ago.

also armys acting up here for no good reason - no one is saying bp is on the same level as bts, y'all just suck at basic reading comprehension. mentioning them in the same sentence doesn't automatically mean we're saying bp outsold bts. think before writing

kpop is bigger now than it was in 2019. Blackpink can do a bigger tour in US, will only depend of YG tbh.

As for the other things, Twice latest full album sold around 100k units in US, The Album is around 600k units (300k physical).

LIES, BTS have the two most liked kpop group mvs ever on youtube (BWL and Dynamite) the only thing bp have over them is most viewed mv and subs (because hybe is dumb and has bts content on two separated channels), surpass them in what social media? bts are the most followed group on twitter, instagram and tiktok, Taehyung has more average likes per post than Lisa on instagram, they are neck to neck on youtube but on spotify bts stomps bp they have the 3 most streamed kpop songs on spotify by far they used to be neck to neck there in 2018 not anymore, Jungkook hashtag on tiktok alone has more views than BP yeah not even just Lisa, the group itself.
