The possibility of Korean AKB48 happening….

I thought this would be to manage Nako & Hitomi’s Korean schedules, but it has yet to happen ever since

Starting to think an Korean sister group will probably happen at this point. If it does happen, I could see them debuting once Covid dies down more

I will legit stan if it does happen tbh

The overseas sister groups are doing good generally. BNK48/CGM48 are really huge, while groups like Team SH & Team TP are doing very good for themselves, and I heard MNL48 has a very strong fanbase too

As far as the main AKB48 & it’s Japanese sister groups, that depends. For Jpop acts in general, they’re still big. But considering they’re legacy & brand, they are not as popular anymore

Nogizaka46 are kinda the new favored GG now, which is crazy cuz they were made to be rivals of AKB48. BISH is also pretty big too, and then there’s NiziU who are the new it girl GG now, cuz they’re extremely huge in Japan

Edit: Ooh and the pandemic did some damage too, since most of AKB’s income comes from their interactive promos like handshake events & theater shows
