interesting thing that i've noticed about sm and aespa

    i feel like sm thought karina would be the popular one, the next it-girl and they pushed her super hard and stuff (like miss girl was everywhere) but in the end, winter is the top it girl (not to take away from karina, the push sm gave her didn't go to waste or anything)


    you could tell sm wanted giselle to be the popular one in the western market, like she was the "english speaker" and "relatable to fans" person but in the end, that went to ningning and i think giselle is prob the least popular

    Agreed. Just sad for Giselle. I wish they all have similar popularity like the BP girls but I think she’s not as popular due to her visuals and maybe not as much star quality shown yet :( Even the TAMS ad released had 0 solo screen time of Giselle :(

    when SM gives the name giselle means elegant , I don't think SM has her in mind to be 'relatable'. But I agree, SM wanted gs to be popular one in western market however her 'n' scandal fumbled her bag.

    To be fair, Jennie and Lisa were the only popular ones. Rose and Jisoo took a while to be at their current level

    Don't worry about giselle she'll end up shining, she's charming and she just needs a bit more of confidence on stage. Truth is not all members are gonna have equal popularity, there will be the most popular and the least popular. Hopefully sm keeps giving her more collabs and solo activities like smtown
