Forget the fact they give all (majority) of their idols solos or some sort of solo promotion (acting, modelling etc) and forget the fact they spend so much effort making all groups and soloist teasers and albums designs outstanding and revolutionary (have you seen aespa's debut album design? it's nuts) but the fact they keep their idols busy with cf deals when they aren't currently active (aespa) gaining them non stop recognition or self promoting themselves on their own talkshow or radio station ( seulgi and Wendy and possibly more). I am impressed. it seems like they are one of the few if not the only kpop company that has any common sense. They certainly are not perfect lol but sm really know what they are doing. Jyp take notes. Yg is beyond help.

And yet they get totally embarrassed by BTS & BP in both bg and gg market
This is stan mentality. BTS and BP are anomalies. The likelihood of any group ever reaching their levels of success is slim.
If you look at it objectively, if you were an idol, joining SM would give you the best chances of ongoing success at a high level. They have the best retention of idols beyond the initial 7 year contracts. They have the best chance of giving solo promos and gigs outside of comebacks. They supported so many of their idols through scandals. Many of their management and trainers are ex-SM idols. The simple fact is that every group they've released since Gen 2 (and most before that) have been amongst the top groups of their generations.
If you go through the massive list of individual idols, you'd be hard pressed to find many that wouldn't have been more successful/popular in an SM group instead.

Yes there is a reason why SM is the undisputed #1 kpop company since forever. Maybe they don't have the biggest groups all the time but on average their groups are always successful, stable and have incredible longevity in the industry.
SM idols have most freedom in big4, they let their male & female idols interact all the time and don't have problem with confirming dating rumors unlike other kpop companies. The idols are all treated and managed well which is why most of their idols choose to stay with the company for a long time.

Thats actually the opposite... SM have the most contract resigns in kpop, the exceptions are fx, jyj, jessica, tiffany, and chinese exo members... And the chinese exo members are some of the most popular celebs in China nowadays. All the others are still active in SM. YG? 2ne1 surely wasnt happy with how they were handled. TOP decided to quit. B.I got kicked out to cover Burning Sun scandal.
Hybe have BTS. You think one group doing good equals to a company having ALL of their groups doing good? Really?

I think the same. They even give the least popular member solo gigs.

None of gheir artists made any impact globally. YG has BP. And yes BTS impact is more than enough compared to those all SM artists combined. Obviously they have the most re-signed artists coz they have more artists & what they do when u leave them basically close to destroying artists career like banning tham getting gigs in SK.
China? U know how volatile the Chinese market is being controlled by their govt & so much restrictions etc . Japan & US are the target now. China is just an afterthought.

They weren't talking about just one group of a company doing well, like you are. They were talking about groups in general doing well, and SM so have done that best.
SM have the most artists renewing their contracts, not only in numbers but also percentage wise.
Due to that, SM were able to have a collab girl group that had female artists of each of the generations, 1 to 4. Something they'd be able to do for their boy groups too. YG and JYP have hardly any of their 2nd gen artists left, while SM still have most of their 2nd gen groups around and artists from them still active. As for the whole 'banning' thing, the fact that Sooyoung, Seohyun and Tiffany all have had thriving careers unhindered by SM after they left already proves your observation wrong, and they're not the only ones who were able to do whatever they want after leaving SM.
