Not where I live. Many comedians gets sued for the things they say and some get to pay fines/indemnities, stuff like that.

Edit: of course many "get away" with the things they say, but they get sued anyway.

Idk but from what I've noticed, the opinions about the Oscar issue are very different when I compare Americans commenting about it and people from other countries commenting about it.

The values are just... different.

I've always said it's everyone's right to cancel or to defend for whatever reason...if a comedian said something and lots of people are upset sure they can cancel them or whatever just as one can defend them from cancellation lol
