Are people over exaggerating the Grammys performance

The bitterness in some of the comments here lol... It seems hard to accept that bts go viral often & attract a lot of locals (most army were gp before becoming a fan)

Anyway, bts will keep thriving & being invited to western award shows while no other kpop group will :))

The saltiness by some of these company stans🤭 ( we know who they are)

Chill, your faves can't even step on the Grammys' dirt patch, so whether it went viral or not, none of your business?

Can people fight about western artists vs Korean artists on their free time?

Doja, Pink and other female popstars really know how to put on a good show so I applaud them for that. But then you also get guys like J Balvin and Justin Bieber (to some extent) who just do the bare minimum which is walking around the stage singing/rapping.

BTS bring a level of showmanship that's kinda rare for a male pop act these days. Lil Nas X at least tries to have some choreo and cool costumes but let's be real, he can't exactly dance like BTS.

No one is saying that all western acts suck at live performances, we're just saying that what BTS does isn't the norm for male pop stars, especially since groups aren't even a thing anymore. This is something even western pop stans complain about btw.

Anyway, out there in the real world, all I've heard is praise for BTS' performance, so it's not like bitter kpop stans get to dictate what actually happened.

It was cheesy. They were feeling themselves which was cute, but compared to the other performances it was kind of embarrassing.

i understand why you'd think i was talking about you (since that's what i quoted), but i was more talking in general (why i used "them") . OP of that comment gave many objective examples of non fans praising the performance & calling it the biggest one of the evening, yet some here still try to minimalise how succesful it was bc it's clear they don't like bts doing well.

Army use the word viral and locals way too much.

The only people it went viral for was people who are interested in kpop, and no it wasn't the best performance ever.

It was viral enough to get even their haters to recite its events in startling detail despite claiming they hate BTS with their entire being.
