I feel like this big bang song is their last song

  • I've been a vip for so long and I was so excited for this comeback however I feel like it might be their last song.

Idk the vibe was off. There was no group shot and the 4 empty chairs and just the feel of the song in general.

Am I the only one who thought this?

  • I wouldn't be at all surprised. It's probably for the best anyway, for Tabi at least

  • You're not the only one. It's the common consensus in the fandom.

I see it differently but only time will tell.

  • what should of been a "hello! we're back" or even a "let me introduce you to the new big bang" felt more like a "this is the end. thanks for coming along for the ride"

i rlly hope im wrong tho :(

  • It's their last. Taeyeon or whatever his name, in a recent interview alluded that it's his last Big Bang comeback. They sure went out with a dud instead of a bang.

  • :cryingk:.

They make good music, I hope not. Best cohesive sounding group in my opinion

  • I just hope that after some years, when they feel like they're ready they can release something together again.

The biggest group should end like this...

Maybe it's only my fan's heart talking but... yeah, it would be a shame if we wouldn't get any more bigbang songs

  • their last song better not be their most boring song ever

    No.

A whole lot of k-pop fans were thinking exactly the same as you.

It felt like a goodbye song, and the end of an era.

Especially in combination with TOP's message.

  • I think they pretty much hit you in the face with this being an end for bigbang, at least in its current state. Im not sure how anyone can miss it from the lyrics to all the symbolism in the mv.

  • I wasn't the biggest fan of Seungri even before everything, but a celebratory banger would have come across in bad taste, like dancing on the grave of his career.

It was very layered. The song and the mv acknowledge their career with callbacks (GD using practically every colour in his hair, and the La La La from their debut, the Life billboard), and that time has passed and they are looking forward ready for a new phase.

It does a good job of getting that across - Taeyang looks content and secure in his faith, Daesung is peaceful and thinking things over, GD is feeling nostalgic and missing his fans, and TOP wants nothing to do with it all to the extent that he's up on the moon in a rabbit suit planning a new life.

TOP already said he tried to stop being in the industry but that music is all he knows and he wrote over 100 songs during their hiatus. GD seems to be limbering up. I think we are going to see solo projects from all of them probably starting quite soon, and then at some point hopefully a happier group project. They are being super successful in the charts in China, Japan, over 100 roof hits so far in Korean charts, so if they were wondering if there's still room for them they got an affirmative answer.
