    The growth of kpop is certainly undeniable. So are the decline and blow up of certain groups.


    It's interesting how internationally relevant groups have changed so drastically in only a few years. Kard was doing incredibly well. I wonder what happened.

    it's not just kpop, spotify has been expotentially growing every year at crazy rate, but yeah

    in 2018 bts was 5 times more bigger than the 2nd kpop act. now it's only around 2.5 times.


    That means the gap between bts and other kpop groups has actually decreased unlike the claim made by armys.

    Bp isn’t and hasn’t ever been bigger but it’s still impressive tbh.

    Even if if u take away playlisting, the number of BTS MLs will be still be way above kpop due to the number of their followers. A significant number of people keep up with them

    it hasn't decreased, Spotify was almost exclusively Western used in 2018, since then it has grown a ton in Asia, where K-Pop has its primary market.

    Well of course it's obvious but just wanted to say Playlist reach help a lot too.

    This is insane. Has Spotify grown so explosively the past few years, or is it just K-pop that exploded on Spotify?

    in 2018, there is only 5M+ gap
    and in 2022, there is 23M+ gap
    I wonder what are you trying to say here?
