If you watch i-land, they literally threw away any good vocalists they had in that survival show due to reasons like "not attractive enough", "not good expressions", " not good dancers" but never "not good vocals". It shows what their priority is. I hope they change their mindsets.

geonu was the only good vocalist who didn't make it. all the other trainees who didn't make it sung worse than the actual line up (especially heeseung, jungwon and sunoo). And geonu doesn't fit enhypen's concept. most of the other trainees weren't good singers, it's not like they could've chosen better much better ones.

It's true that they looked too much at dancing skills and expressions, that's why I often didn't agree with their ranking. I still think the line up that came out of it was the best and most liked line up. Most of the other trainees lacked popularity or wouldn't bring anything extra

When I watched Iland I thought sunoo and heeseung are main vocal material they sang really good. Now I don't follow enhypen, why are they bashed so much over vocals?? Was Iland scripted??

they are good esp Heeseung. Kpoppers just love to hate successful grps when they think it overshadows their faves esp gg stans

Heeseung is main vocal material but not Sunoo, he's a sub or lead vocalist at best (together with Jungwon). But other boys' vocals are below average. And have you watched their encore stages? that was tragic.
geonu was the only good vocalist who didn't make it. all the other trainees who didn't make it sung worse than the actual line up (especially heeseung, jungwon and sunoo). Geonu and Jaebeom sang better all the Enhypen boys except Heeseung. And they were all eliminated not because of their vocals. The other boys can sing on par with any of the Enhypen boys like Hanbin, K and even Seon. Don't tell me you don't think they chose based on visuals and dancing talents ft facial expressions since that's all these 'teachers' and 'producers' were talking about during elimination process. Vocals is like the least thing they care about as long as a boy is attractive on stage...

so you also agree it's more like popularity and visuals contest ft dancing/facial expressions but never vocals in the first place? And people are surprised the final group is bashed for vocals? lol

Have u watched their latest encores? They all did great but non-fans esp haters are so focus on negative side or anything that can drag the boys. They also sang live couple of times including during the weverse con and they did well. Hybe wants potential & hunger for growth , they want performers & someone with charisma. Yes, it’s true as a whole they dont have the best vocals. But they are continuously improving. Heeseung is a lot better but the rest are doing their best to improve & it shows on their last cb. They are one of the best performers too & their stage charisma esp Heeseung & Jay are one of the best. It’s true that they are all eye candies but so what? I will not stan an average looking idol simply because his vocals are excellent. TBH, none of kpop idols are overly better than the other in vocals. It’s the total package that we like. And it seems Hybe made the right decision, they were able to sell more than a million units in less than a yr and they keep growing.

Can you stop saying Heeseung is better than others everywhere? It looks like you're implying the rest of the group is not talented and only Heeseung matters which is annoying.

I forgot Jaebom, he's not rememberable tbh and didn't have enough votes by fans to even pass part 2. Any company would let someone like him go if they lacked popularity this much. And why would you choose someone who is on par with vocals but lacks everything else. K does not fit enhypen and the other trainees either don't have a pleasant vocal color or vocal tones that doesn't fit the other members/ lack personality/ lack visual or dancing skills. Geonu is the only one who could have been a decent decision. You say it's not suprising they're bashed for vocals, but adding geonu wouldn't make it much different and the group wouldv'e been less popular. Like I said, the other trainees weren't better and the 2 that were, lacked other things. They chose the best vocalists of the show with a few exceptions because they lacked smth else, the way it goes in basically every kpop company.
