1. Don't know about the Korean music community but BTS will be happy. They're not naive; they know the Grammy institution is bullshit but it's still a revered music accolade. ARMY feel the same way; we will celebrate BTS' win (should they win) but we will still hate the Grammys after.
2. This forum will dedicate a month's celebration to a BTS Grammy loss, yes. Saying otherwise is bullshit.
3. Don't know. I certainly don't think another kpop group has the credentials but the Grammys don't really care about that most of the time. (See their nomination of Yummy)

armys wish they would stop trying for that and release real music instead.

1. win: means nothing for the korean music community only solidifies bts power. loss: that america just isn't ready for a korean group to win. basically this will really only impact bts
2. if they win nice non fans will be happy, salt antis will dismiss it just like they do the kma. loss all hell breaks loose
3. i don't see it happening at all. no other group has a presence in america and they can't possibly build enough clout by next year since you have to submit for the grammys in 2022 to be eligible for 2023

1. It's gonna make other groups believe a Grammy win will be easy... Bts makes these achievements look so easy that many of them want to skip all the smaller ones bts went through & just go for the endgoals. There is nothing wrong with having dreams, but many seem to underestimate how difficult this is.
2. MANY people will be very happy & you can expect a handful of shady threads or thinkpieces. Throwback to the excitement on this site when 'on' underperformed to their standards for bts & they thought bts was done for.
3. Not really, unless they get a viral hit. Bp is the only one who had a shot at bna, but 2020 wasn't enough + it would weird if they get into that one this many years after their debut.
Also, many already said it but practically all army are fed up with the Grammy's and everything involved. No wonder bts wants one, since its literally the only goal they haven't achieved yet, but army will be estatic if they dropped it. Bts being happy is all that really matters.

1. First all Asian act to be nominated and win in a popular category. I am not Korean but if BTS was from my country and they won, everyone will be proud as hell.
2. They literally did last year so what makes you think they won’t cheer when BTS lose again?
3. No. The only one I thought may be capable of grabbing a nom was Lisa but she isn’t even Korean. Her single Money was eligible. And BP had a chance with a best new artist nomination last two years but it wasn’t possible. Except BTS I don’t expect any other Korean artiste so far this year. But who knows what the future holds

1. It would be a nice symbolic win but let’s be honest, BTS are an outlier so it’s not like Asian artists are going to start winning Grammys left and right
2. Yes, sadly
3. By next year? Nope. No Korean artist have the kind of sustained visibility in the U.S. that BTS do, and it didn’t happen overnight. They really grinded in 2017-2020 to be as well known as they are now. Another kpop group would also have to build themselves up in America with ton of performances and interviews.
To be honest, I can see BTS winning a Grammy a couple years down the line but the competition is too strong this year. The Grammys are notorious for awarding artists years after their prime, so it might be in another couple years.

1. Not much. 2. Probably. 3. No.
Addendum to 1 - there is discussion that the new administration in Korea is much less impressed by Kpop and the military exemption may be off the table whatever they do. In which case it's just another award. On the plus side BTS may stop chasing a grammy like a dog chasing a tennis ball and get back to making good music.
(Which ironically could help them win a grammy. They are so badly advised, I just...)
But Butter winning over Gaga &Tony Bennett, Doja Cat? Unlikely. Best thing Army's can do is go to bed early that night and not let the Grammy's use them for free promo again.
