TikTok is probably trying to be the next Youtube .... they allow 10 minute long videos now

  • i don't think that'll work well for them IMO. they've conditioned a lot of their users to have a really short attention span and unfortunately, i am one of the victims to that. idk how i, or anyone else would sit through a 10 minute tiktik when i can barely get through a 5 minute yt video

Some people would totally do that

I scrolled a bit trought recomended content and I noticed why people want longer videos and here are some example why

    • East European woman who lives in Germany and only speaks the basic vocabulary tried viral food-hacks. She was allready using the max. span of 3 minutes in her clips most of the time and I bet she would totally do 10 minute long videos
    • People like the mom I once saw on TikTok who get frustrated and angry and don't know when to stop yelling about their frustrations
    • People who do pranks
    • That one mother on TikTok who allways says "My son likes his meal cooked this way" and "So my son said I should get him this food from McDonalds, but I am smart and say I can cook it at home, wich is faster and even tastes better" and she literally makes 3 minute videos about meals that you don't even need a long tutorial for and she often ends her videos by accidantly cutting her own sentense in half cause she didn't got enough time to talk
    • There was a guy on YT who said he filmed a tiktok about 20 times cause he had no idea how to put less speaking into the video
