spending hours of your day arguing about kpop is… kind of pathetic actually

  • wether it’s the people here that fight and drag groups constantly or the so called “shooters” on twitter that drag any group who’s fan that comes for their fave ( and it’s any fandom rlly. literally any )… it’s actually pathetic wow

i’m just realizing none of this matters in the real world we’re the same old ppl behind our screen and those tweets and fights won’t change anything in our life or our fave’s life they don’t even know what goes on

  • its a fun, useless, mental exercise. It encompasses all from corporate politics, economies of scale and interest, Celebrity popularity, etc. and involves skills like Mental resilience, Fast internet research, Amateur auditory critique, Social engineering, as well as escalation and de-escalation.

It works the brain. but ultimately its quite pointless.

its pointless, but its a mental exercise as long as youre not too glued into it and turned out to be some toxic mofos. also it relief mild boredom

  • True. Some need a healthier interest

  • just think, all that time could be spent doing better things like exercising, learning a new language, gardening, cooking, going out on dates.

normal people do not spend all their time arguing about kpop online, that's for sure.

my pizza is technically a salad vibes

  • I found it fun trolling but not anymore it’s all boring lol it’s actually sad tbh I guess it was boredom during the lockdowns but now life is back on track idc anymore

  • How bout the users who have 20, 30k posts on this site? If every post took 5 minutes, that's over 100 whole days spent interacting with nameless, faceless clowns on the internet. Now that's pathetic.

  • It's worse when it's obvious the people behind these arguments believe that those achievements they are arguing about belong to THEM instead of their faves and their entire selfworth is tied to people who don't know they exist. It's clear some people on this site, just from looking at post count alone, have an unhealthy relationship with KPOP and this forum and they would probably be better off finding other things to do in life

well that’s mean but I agree. however it’s less pathetic and more y’know, sad

imo pathetic is just wasting your time fighting. at least those people r having fun in a way (?)

this is exactly what i meant THANK YOU.

they think of themselves as an extension of their faves and it’s genuinely sad

  • some people find fighting and arguing a kind of outlet

this is 100% facts but if you ever said it on the main forum, they would write essays about why it's perfectly normal and healthy to be parasocially obsessed with a stranger and their accomplishments. like, girl....get a life I'm begging u

    Omg yeah.

  • It’s entertaining actually, especially when you watch them from the sidelines duel each other :pepe-hehe:

You assume that it isn't fun and a form of entertainment for the people who fight, which is a false assumption.

If people spending 20-30k posts and wasting their time like that is ok as long as they're having fun, the same can be said about those with a higher post count but that love to fight and troll and having fun with it.

Personally I disagree with the endless bashing, fighting and bickering about meaningless, trivial K-pop stuff but that's because it's not really fun to me.

But that doesn't mean it isn't fun and entertainment to others, why else would they do it if they didn't get any satisfaction or pleasure from it in some way?

  • If it upsets you, yeah. If you find it invigorating and fun, then well still yeah. But humans like all kinds of pointless things that are fun. I just hate it when people are obviously getting distressed but can't put their device down.

  • A lot of people think they are young, but most of the people here doing it are in their mid 20s to 30 plus.

Like dont you have jobs? College? SO? Hobbies? Or something else to do than argue over pop music?

  • Who cares what y’all think - you are in here doing the same as the people you hate on.

    Hypocrites

  • so true, I only come on here to post nice things about idols and defend them

  • A lot of people think they are young, but most of the people here doing it are in their mid 20s to 30 plus.

Work is hectic and whenever I get small breaks, I take a peak at akp since I haven't got time for Netflix, gaming etc, and besides, I like kpop.

So in conclusion, akp is a great stress reliever and entertainmentts me.

    And anon rules!

  • Talking and complaining about how people choose to spend their time is just as jobless and pathetic to me. I don't understand people who choose to spend so much time arguing over petty things like music but I also don't waste my time losing sleep and writing posts to show I'm better than them.

My point is do what you enjoy and let other people do what they enjoy too even though it looks like jobless behaviour to you. We should all spend less time worrying about what other nameless people are doing on the internet as long as it's not breaking any laws.

If people want to fight other stans over charts then let them do their thing. If other people would rather write ten paragraphs about why a certain idol is an angel sent by the visual gods then cool. If someone wants to write a 300k word fanfic about their fave being transported into genshin impact and having Zhongli in their harem then that's their time to waste and is totally cool as well.

  • Then what about you op? Even creating a thread in anon

    Pathetic! You're obsessed.

  • as a long time kpop fan, it's pointless to defend any idol at all. We have our own lives to take care of than some unknown idols. Just enjoy the music is more easy.

FRRRRR LMAOOOO I was likeee wtf, why are these grown adults acting like children??? throwing insults at each other and arguing over their faves. totally unnecessary

  • the people getting defensive about getting called out :pepe-hehe:

  • same as people getting petty and insecure because some people listen to other groups rather than their faves.
