polaroid love challenge is everywhere. All idols are doing the challenge. Fever went viral last year and became the most streamed 4th gen 2021 song. Anti romantic went viral on tiktok. Bts became more known with their bsides like dope mic drop than title tracks. Why is this happening so many times with hybe? Is this just fake promoting strategy by hybe to make a song look viral? Is this because of company stans?

people can hate on hybe all they want but truth is that the music they make is insanely good. most groups nowadays use all the good quality for their title tracks which leaves their bsides being boring and underwhelming. hybe bsides though have as great quality as the title tracks and the fact they can be passed on as tts says enough

I think they always have 2 candidates of title track. Txt once said cat and and dog was supposed to be their tt but suddenly they were asked to practice svt's cute songs 😂 and hybe once asked RM which txt song( from anti romantic album) song is more suitable for tt.

what I've noticed is that there's always one bside for these groups that stand out by being a little different from the rest of the songs on their albums, in some way, such as in their sound or concept (showing a new side of the group is even better, cue Fever); bringing something new to the group but not deviating too much from their image/sound either—while other tracks don't possess this quality or at least not to a similar extent—sort of predestines the bside to become the new, unequivocal "fan favourite" for the fandom, who will in turn push it during the promotions.
Another thing that makes me think so is that my faves' most recent album had like 3-4 different bsides (all very different in concept and sound) getting lots of praise and attention from non-fans all at the same time so rather than one bside literally getting bigger than the title track.
Oh also I think it might have to do with the tiktok presence of the group too, and how kpop stans on the platform generally view them (i.e. do tiktokers bash them for breathing or do they eat up anything they do)

I mean I hate hybe as a company (in promotion and management aspects) but love the music they produce. They just have really good and diverse music producers that sometimes I wish their vocalists are a bit better to express those really good songs.

Most companies focus on trying to make their title track THE SONG while the bsides are left to be filler tracks. Even their good bsides are just that, good bsides. Maybe since they know btracks will mostly only get attention from fans so they think it's a waste to throw all the good songs in one album.
Hybe doesn't seem to share this philosophy and always stacks their albums with the best their producers can come up with. They don't seem to care if it's seen as a waste of songs that should have been title tracks.
Yg seems to share this philosophy as well. As far as Blackpink is concerned anyway, don't know about other groups of theirs. Blackpink always has one very standout bside that people are sure was a potential title track; forever Young and pretty savage immediately come to mind. Other companies would have never risked such gems suffering the rate of random btracks to be forgotten by most people a week after the album is out.
I've listened to a lot of kpop albums and it's a theme I've noticed where most of the songs on albums are boring, ballads or unfinished sounding songs. Songs that sound like something is missing and meet the criteria of a listenable song in the most basic of ways. Hybe groups don't seem to share this issue.
In conclusion, I can shit on hybe all I want for their questionable business tactics and management style but never for their music and production works.
